Can I have the same fleet ship twice ?

So I really like my fleet defiant , I know it's not the best ship but I like it , and I'm currently running a full Undine / Species 8472 Rep set . My question is if I wanted to run the delta alliance set say (actual set is irrelevant) could I purchase another fleet defiant to run the set ?
I know I can just use another loadout but I'm running short on bank / inventory space (my inner hoarder is taking over)

Nope. You could say, have both a C-Store and Fleet Defiant at the same time, or it's T5 and T6 variant simultaneously, though.

To double check, you do know that you can summon gear stored on a ship, via either the Loadout system or just clicking the space where the item goes when on a social map, right? While it'll still put the gear swapped out into your main inventory, at least you can have the sets you want at a touch of a button, but not taking up Inventory or Bank space, just by leaving them on a non-active ship.

Thanks for the info , I did know about the loadout options etc just hoping I could save myself the trips to the bank by having those extra ships equipped differently (For future endeavour tasks) . Guess I'll just try different fleet ships , the Prometheus looks fun

You dont have to go to the bank, using loadouts will automatically swap out equipment even if its in your bank.
