So, the latest classic speculative fiction (I hesitate to call it straight-up science fiction) novel they're trying to turn into a blockbuster is apparently Madeline L'Engle's A Wrinkle in Time.

    Eh... I don't get a good feeling from this. Also, we already have a movie of A Wrinkle in Time. If I remember correctly, it was rather forgettable.

    Read the book like 20 years ago.. don't remember much except the rows and rows of identical white houses...
    Maybe I should revisit this book.
    I'll skip the film... Oprah... Yuck.

    On a brighter note.. Spider-Man Homecoming was really good !

    I remember seeing a trailer for the previous movie on my tape of Spy Kids. Never saw the actual thing, but to my kid eyes it looked weird.

    You'll skip a film because a particular person, and not even one associated with any major scandals, is in it???

    Well, if the reception for ST:D hadn't already debunked it, I'd be saying, "So much for the idea that Trekkies are welcoming to things that are different." IDIC is apparently meaningless.
