Duration of Cruiser Command abilities

How long do the Cruiser Command effects (ie. Weapon System Efficiency, Attract Fire, etc.) actually last?

The Wiki doesn't say so. Anyone have a clue?

Do I have to keep spamming the button or does it actually have a duration?

(FYI - Console player here and the tool tips on consoles are not the best to say the least, lol)

Cruiser Command abilities will last in a space combat zone until toggled, either off or by switching to a new command. A map change usually turns them off

Ok, that is good to know that once triggered that is it, and no need to spam the button. Thanks!

You may see several auras firing off at the start, but that's as cruiser commands don't stack - if someone's already doing the weapon one, then they're switching to one of the others.

Console lacks buff icons for no good reason. The port is pretty barebones in places and the auto use of abilities is good but really needs fleshed out to include more things.

Using the ability once will show the ripples coming from your ship, a second time switches it off but not indicator at all that it's happened.

There is a range to the effect they have so if the group has to spread or split up I tend to pick the one I want to have on me from the ones I have to choose from. Ships do get a faint coloured glow on them for a moment as they come close enough to get the buff but thats easy to miss with the amount of visual bombardment during combat.

Two main things that will turn it off are changing maps (even going from space map a to space map b during a mission) and death.
