Rank 14 upgrade tokens from lockbox dont work.

i tried few items to get gold upgrade, and nothing happen, i click, and still no effect or not updating.
i tried personal and ship items.

First, "straight to level 14 Gold" upgrades come from the keyring bundle not lockboxes.

If that's actually the item we're discussing, they work fine from the upgrade window....on eligible items. Most items are eligible, but some odd ball pieces (like Nelen Exil's weapon) can't be upgraded.

oops, yes, it was from 20 keys bundle i just had, thought it was from lockboxes as i forget.
i was hitting on standard items such as beams, rifles, armor and consoles, i dont think i got that Nelen Exil yet, thank for inform me on that item.
still not able to upgrade any other items to gold rank 14. still confused.

You have to upgrade the item like you are using regular upgrades. Place item you want in to your inventory screen. Right click and click on upgrade item. When the next screen appears, click on the left open box that lets you choose what type of upgrade [basic, improved, advanced] you want to use. You should be able to see the new upgrade items.

The default weapons that comes with your ship (White) cannot upgrade, if thats what you are trying to ugrade..

Also (but I've not tried this yet), perhaps the Protected Status prevents changes to the item altogether? (like trying to Upgrade it)

There are also certain Kit Modules and Kits that will not be upgradable to Epic. The Kits and Modules from the Specialization Store are not upgradable at all.

seem most misunderstood me, no, i dont use upgrades on kits and modules, or use on white items if that came with ships, i threw those away since they are no value and bounded.
what i was trying to upgrade, some are from duty officer tasks when they bring blue or rarely some purple items and some from loot drops, quest rewards.
cant remember if there is some items from lockboxes or some from Rep-mark vendor. not sure if these are not upgradeable or we can?

Most of those items are Upgradable. Only a very small number are not upgradable (like Nelen Exil's pistol).

If you right click on an item and one of the choices says 'Upgrade' it is generally Upgradable. If you select that Upgrade Choice, the resulting dialog box will show what the next upgrade will be to. If an item it upgraded as far as it will go there will be a statement on the lower left of that dialog box that will say something to th effect that the item is fully upgraded or fully upgraded in Quality.

The other thing you should be aware of it that items will NOT be upgradable from you Bank or Account Bank. Also Space items installed on a ship will not be upgradable if you are on the ground (and maybe Sector Space, but not totally sure on that). You will not even see the Upgrade Choice on the right click in those situations.
