Question on the Fed Ambassador uniform

Im levelling myself up on the diplomatic ranking, but I have a small query. Can Boffs wear the Ambassador uniform, or is it just for players?

Boffs can, if you are referring to the T4 Diplomacy unlock.

If your leveling up Diplomacy check around Earth and Vulcan. There is a system there with a "Patrol" mission, that pays out Diplomacy xp.

No combat just run around talking to people to solve a labor dispute.

Oooo many thanks for the tip! I've been spending my time floating around the Alpha Quadrant picking up the DOff missions from around Defera/Cardassia/DS9, so I will add this to my travel plan. Thanks again!

Unfortunately it is a one off, as after you play it once it wont let you pick it back up on the same toon. The system it is in starts with a B that's all I remember though.
