What's going on with buying physical starships?

I remember STO wanted to sell physical starships, but it looks like the company they went with folded.

There was a thread on this late last year, but it was necro'd and closed.

So I'm wondering, is there an update? Is there any plan on going with another retailer? I'm an RPer, and would love to have my characters' starships on my desk.

The Company died before the deal was finished, i think Stephen Ricossa posted something explaining the whole case, and he, as us, got really boomed when this happened.

Yeah, that was the closed thread. Just wondering if there's an update since then, as that was end-2016 and we're half a year later.

From what i know, no new Company that does that job, i would personally do a Papercraft ship template if i had Access to the 3D models, i'll love that..

Cost to manufacture each unit is too high to be attract enough buyers to the company to turn a profit. Need to wait for greater demand for 3D printed products in general and newer more efficient 3D printing technologies to lower costs. This may take several years.
