Great new Ferengi stuff.
About the Dil and GPL: Very apreciated. You didnt make it an inflating more EC into economy campaign, Dil is always good.
And yes i would have like lobi, but thats not the way to get it, whats next demand if it was: Domion admirality should drop R&D lockbox ships 1x per 10 days?
Keep lobi where it is. Else it would inflate also or becomes worthless in a while.
GPL was never much interesting for me, but they could ad stuff in the ferengi shop later on (when every body spend their gpl on party nullifiers offc).
Thanks, nice summertreat for free
"Reports of our depression are vastly exaggerated." "Anyaway, we don't often see a sense of humor in Section 31."
Literally nothing of worth in this to make me want to log in and grind up to T10 on this, start offering something that will drag players attention back into the game. Something big.
I'd like to get 10 phoenix boxes instead of 30k dilithium because we already can get 30k dilithium in the KDF campaign.
You know what, that's actually not a bad idea.
Getting 10 boxes might even be the right number considering that when the event runs, you can buy a stack of 10 for 40k Dil. It would make the reward unique and while at first look might be the most rewarding, what the boxes themselves contain is pure chance. It's not like you're going to get to lvl 10 in this campaign, get your Phoenix boxes and get 10 Epic cards to trade in for event ships.
Technically you could, but seriously, you'll more likely get 7 uncommon 2 rare and a very rare, if you're very lucky. It also would kind of mesh with the Ferengi theme.
Hello. My name is iamynaught and I am an altaholic.
My ingame activity consist of three tasks:
1. Get the event ship/account unlock tokens.
2. Do the KDF Admiralty for Dilithium (because the fleet advancement projects need feeding).
3. Get Fleet marks to run the Fleet Advancement projects.
When there isn't a ship or account unlock available, then it's two tasks.
Honestly, this update is just going to be disregarded by me, because KDF admiralty is already doing what it does and as mentioned before, I can only do one Admiralty at a time, so I'm going to stick with the one already at level 10.
Now if it was awarding Lobi Crystals instead of GPL, then yes, I'd switch to doing it in favor of KDF.
I don't use GPL often enough (most of the time not at all!) to be interested in having more.

Why in the bloody blue blazes would you only do one admiralty at a time? That's a very inefficient way of doing things.
Space Barbie Extraordinaire. Got a question about Space Barbie? Just ask.
Things I want in STO:
1) More character customization options such as more clothing options, letting the toon complexion affect the entire body, not just the head. Also a true RGB color picker applied to all costume and appearance options, which would allow for true appearance customization and homogenous colors instead of "this same exact color looks vastly different on two different pieces."
2) Bridge customization, not bridge packs. Let us pick a general layout and adjust the color palette, console appearance, and chair types, as well as more ready room layout options.
3) Customizable ground weapons, i.e. The aesthetic look of phaser dual pistols but they shoot antiproton bolts. For obvious reasons this would only apply to standard ground weapons.
4) For the love of Q please revamp Plasma Ground Weapons. They look like demented Supersoakers right now.
5) True Vanity Impulse and Deflector effects similar to Vanity Shields.
6) A greater payout for hitting T6 Reputations. Currently it takes more time and resources to get from T5 to T6 than it does to get from nothing to T5. Make that grind really pay out at the end.
7) Mirrorverse Refugee event similar to AoY/Delta/Gamma, complete with new Mirrorverse recruits for all factions.
8) Independent Faction, because yo ho yo ho a pirate's life for me!

I think you all are on to something there. Within the theme of the Ferengi are being privateers & opportunists so this could've been a great tool to open-up & offer all sorts of unusual rewards compared to the rinse & repeat copy & paste approach.
How about one Universal Ultimate Tech Upgrade? Unique from others. Not bloody likely, however.

I agree useless I too also just log to do event and r&d leveling what they need is more episode releases thought escalation was gonna bring a whole new episode path to play thru dis appointing.
There are only 8 project slots for Admiralty available.
By the time I've gotten to the chain assignment for the day, at least 5 of them have been allocated.
And that's on a good rotation, sometimes it can be all slots filled and if it is a less then optimal rotation, none of those 8 were the chain assignment, meaning I have to wait until the next day to try again (because of ship maintenance times).
I do have an interest in the Romulan upgrade tokens, but the only way I can work on both Admiralty fields simultaneously is if 8 additional slots are added to accommodate this workload. That was a hint for a admiralty system modification the size of the Eiffel Tower.
Starfleet Admiralty gives skill points as a reward, since all of my majors are the highest level ingame, it is irrevalent.
And since all 3 fields are at level 10, I don't need to do unneccessary assignments for the sake of advancement.
Ferengi Admiralty doesn't have useful rewards and I don't even want the ship card, so it's not worth my time.
At this point in the game, I have become very goal oriented.
If the task doesn't provide something of value or use to me, then I'm simply not interested in doing it and ignore whatever it is.
I'm not spending time ingame doing repetitive tasks for no benefit.

Cardassians: Would be an obvious choice, since we have almost plenty enough info about them.
Ocampa: A possibility.
Talaxian: Freight runner, smuggler, eh, whatever.
Benthan: Space Cops
Hirogen: Would love to fly them ships.
kazon: A possibility
Kobali: Dem corpse snatchers
Terrellian (Delta Quadrant): A possibility
Krenim: Obviously for their space toys.

Well I always figured the Devs loved Ferengi as a "Dev's pet" species and this just helps confirm it.
This. That was the first thought that crossed my mind too. After all, we're not allowed to kill them and the closest we get to hurting them is a Klingon being allowed to punch one out during the Tutorial.
Now a LTS and loving it.
Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything.
After all, we're not allowed to kill them and the closest we get to hurting them is a Klingon being allowed to punch one out during the Tutorial.
One of the Devidian missions, I chose the dialogue option "threaten to break Ferengi's leg to obtain co-operation".
Fastest mission fail ever!
I think there is a Dominion mission where you get to indulge in some Ferengi blasting.
The Vorta is like "Penalties for crimes agains the Dominion is death" when they catch a Ferengi taking stuff without permission.
Then Vorta asks "Will you enact punishment?".
He didn't even get to finish the sentence before I had my hand on the initiate beam array fire mode commands.....
Bees like honey, they don't like vinegar.

Heh, I fired that romulan singularity bomb console myself, far more satisfying to watch a miniature gravity well tear them apart slowly before exploding
After all, we're not allowed to kill them and the closest we get to hurting them is a Klingon being allowed to punch one out during the Tutorial.

Hahaha me too Tilarta, me too. I've done all of those things at some point or another. I really despise Ferengi.
But think about it, we're never able to hurt or kill a Ferengi anywhere in the game except for the punch in the Klingon tutorial and finishing off that female Ferengi in that dreaded gamma quadrant shuttle mission. Every other time we get into a scrap with a Ferengi s/he always ends up getting away after fighting his bodyguards. Qwen in the Delta Quadrant patrol missions, Madran on Hifhar, Madran again in one of the reworked New Romulus mini-missions, you name it, we don't get to kill, arrest or punish the Ferengi. Then they've started appearing in the dev's writers' blogs.
And finally in the Foundry you can't select Ferengi ships or ground npc Ferengi as enemies for your story unless you do some pretty clever workarounds.
And now a brand new admiralty campaign focusing on the Ferengi?
Yes, to me, all this added up together pretty much proves to me that some amongst the Devs clearly love the Ferengi as a 'pet species.' I have no idea why though, the Ferengi are nasty, disgusting, sexist, selfish, greedy little A-holes. I don't do the artifacts mission on Risa because its done by a Ferengi.
"clever" workarounds? There are no Ferengi mobs. Thus you have to reskin something else. It makes sense within the game's story since their race is now allied with the Feds.
Well, fortunately STO is an mmo where we can choose the content we play.
They can buildup the Ferengi all they want, but participation in the content is always optional.
That is bad news about the Foundry.
I was hoping for a Ferengi blasting mission.
I was even considering making one myself......
I don't do the artifacts mission on Risa because its done by a Ferengi.
Isn't that Ferengi the one who has to permanently relocate to the Delta Quadrant because he gets in a lot of trouble with the Alpha Quadrant powers?
I don't remember the storyline, but I think he took the looting and salvaging of enemy ships a bit too far and had to get out before he is hunted down by all of his former customers (whom he cheated).
As you mentioned above, he hired Naausicaan mercenaries to delay the player character long enough to repair his ship and get away.
Bees like honey, they don't like vinegar.

Qwen? I think so. Its been a very long time since I did the DQ mission patrols but yes I think he did have to relocate to the Delta Quadrant to avoid angry customers in the alpha/beta quadrant. Not sure if he had to flee because he had legal troubles though.
Either way I find it irritating that aside from the female Ferengi in that gamma quadrant mission, we never get to actually kill or rightfully arrest/imprison the Ferengi foes we come across after they essentially order their bodyguards to do attempted murder of a Starfleet/KDF/Republic Officer. Those aren't minor crimes.

GPL wouldn't be so bad if you could display your trophies on any ship... that you can't display your GPL trophies on Ferengi ships is just nonsense.
