Downloadable Star Trek Online Themed Fan-Made Board-Game

Over the past few months I've made a print-and-play Star Trek themed board game under the name "Roebot56's Starship Command: STAR TREK Edition".

-Brief overview-

R56's SC:STE (short form), is a print and play board game based around commanding a fleet of starships. Everything shown in the picture (which is representative of a game mid-way through) is included as a printable, including 6 extra board variations (not shown).

More information can be found in the assorted documentation included which includes comprehensive instructions (if you don't understand anything, send me a note on DeviantART or a Mail in STO (to either @roebotsixtyfive or @roebotfiftysix) explaining what you are struggling with and I will try to explain).


-Obtaining the Game-

Along with assorted images of individual ship cards (which I will upload on a random basis), the game can be found on my DeviantART account, with the actual game itself at this link roebot56.deviantart.com/art/BOARD-GAME-R56-s-Starship-Command-STAR-TREK-Edn-682732468.

Be warned, other artwork I have uploaded to my DeviantART account may offend some people and may be unsuitable for those under 12 Terran Years of age, so try to stick to the board game if you are easily offended, scared of anthro dragons, anthro sharks, anthros of any sort, fat women, etc. The only images featured in the game are those of assorted Star Trek starships, a blue planet, asteroids and coloured damage tokens.

-This game MUST NOT be sold under any circumstance unless it has been given permission to by all property owners involved.

-The concept, rules and all artwork for this board game were created by Roebot56 on DeviantART (roebot@live.co.uk).

-STAR TREK and all associated names and designs belong to CBS Studios Inc.

51 + 1 Foundry Character Slots is NOT enough. Some of us love our characters. If I want to buy more character slots, why can't I? I couldn't experience the entire Delta Recruitment event without deleting a character.

The Iconians themselves can't time travel because their memories revert, but there is nothing to say an Iconian couldn't write everything she needed to do on a PADD, pin it to herself, travel back, read the PADD, do the tasks and return. Or just get one of her Non-Herald underlings to go back in time for her.

Oh yeah, I do Foundry missions for both KDFs and Feds. Just search KSTF (Short for Kinas Special Task Force, where Kinas is the name of the Admiral you will be serving under). The earlier ones are less story based and more combat based, while the later ones have a much heavier story element, but keep the large battles.

    They don't have a problem with off-site links here, for the record. As far as legal issues, so far CBS/Paramount has only issued actual rules on fan films. If you want to be in the clear with them for sure, I would write their legal department and ask permission. You're probably okay, though: Star Trek: Crapsanar only drew CBS' ire and started that mess when they admitted to trying to make a profit on the film. (Disclaimer, I am not an IP law expert.)

    That's what I thought of. As long as it isn't monetised in any way it's probably fine, CBS isn't Disney after all.
