Expand Red Alert possibilities

The Tholian and Borg Red Alerts are very good. I like the idea of a Red Alert - Incoming Distress Call. Would be nice to see Cryptic expand on these. Every year, they could add a different one until they have a library of them. This is what Star Trek was made of..."We're picking up a distress call." Doesn't even necessarily have to be big or even combat related. Rescue missions would be an interesting twist.

I very much approve this message. Sector space should be timeless because you could be at any point in the storyline, so all the different red alerts from all the different time periods should show up.

    Iconian, Nakuhl, ect...

Be at the right point in the story line on walks access to Red Alerts related to that storyline..

KDF should have fed redalerts, Fed get KDF red alerts, Rom start with Tal Shiar/Elachi Red Alerts.
Thanks for the Advanced Light Cruiser, Allied Escort Bundles, Jem-Hadar Light Battlecruiser, and Mek'leth

They had the Temporal Maurauders (Na'kuhl), which was the first Red Alert to use the Queue system and give a full Choice of Marks. That disappeared without ONE word at the same time the Tholian and Borg Red Alerts converted to Queues, also without ONE word.

Yeah, expanding them would be great. The Na'kuhl one was a bit more difficult since you had to protect ships and they constantly spam those distortions. But it was pretty fun.

That would be nice, but Cryptic is going the other way. The alerts aren't distress calls at all anymore, just regular queues like everything else.

I actually would love to see a red alert in the vain of a Mirror universe alert, though with a twist. The idea would be of getting an alert that trans-dimensional rifts have opened up in a specific quadrant, and that the alliance needs the player/s to trans-warp to the location of the rift/s. Than as we arrive we find it is not the Terran empire crossing over into our universe/dimension, but is actually either a single or small group of ships allied with the Cardassian/Klingon alliance seeking aid with dealing with the Terran empire. Than I could see the actual fleet/groups of Terran empire ships cross over after them, and us needing to defend the Cardassian/Klingon alliance ships

They could expand a bit more on the red alert concept, indeed. I, for one, would like to see more of these.

Perhaps, and that's just an idea, they should get rid of all these STFs that no one, and i mean, NO ONE plays anymore, and have a small but interesting list of maps to play, both Space and Ground, that offer choice of marks.

Definitely could see them expanding on the red alert concept, and maybe even having different levels that are based on party size an rewards. So you might have yellow alerts that are small group 3-5 people, and then red alerts to me should be almost raid like an rare to pop with really good rewards an 10+ players needed.

For me the stfs not being played is more as others have said about the disparity of rewards to difficulty an time taken between the different stfs, but also for me just the sheer number of stfs can be daunting for players to try an play more than a handful of them. I think that if they have a ranking of time taken to complete stfs that would determine the reward payout, and also in ways a rotation of available stfs (even if that rotation was limited to public ques), than that might help get more use out of stfs. Though also giving us more than just dil/mark rewards for stfs, such as unique rewards an rep projects or missions that need items from specific stfs to complete would also help alot.
