I'm 99% sure I'm going to buy the ship anyway, but I haven't really seen any feedback...what do you think? Likes? Dislikes? The good, the bad, and the ugly?
Don't let them promote you. Don't let them transfer you. Don't let them do anything that takes you off the bridge of that ship, because while you're there... you can make a difference.

Console and trait are terrible however.
I agree there is a point (especially using beams) that a ship can become too nimble. I've accidentally turned fore toward the enemy while broadsiding plenty of times in the Chronos. But at least it makes a front torp somewhat easy to use!

The Reliant isn't terribly specialized for any specific role. It's a well-rounded, general purpose ship, but it performs fairly well in almost any situation.
I might just purchase the fleet version on one or more characters...

What I don't understand is why npc's are using the classic design and not the updated design from DS9, or one of the newer designs even since this is later than DS9's timeline.
The trait and console are garbage, but Cryptic never adorn ships they know will sell on reputation alone, with good traits and consoles, unless they're in a gamble box....
Only problem is that the T6 Fleet Miranda is basically a copypasted and downsized T6 Tac Oddy.
The only real major difference between the two is the pilot Lt. Commander seat and the turn rate.
Sure, if you want a T6 Miranda for the lolz go ahead, but if you'll be tired of it pretty soon. It's always like that. Unless your ship has THE best visuals or is extremely ugly, you'll stop giving a damn after a few weeks
I do, but not in a way you are looking for. I like to play theme builds, not performers which is why I use "Fighter Reinforcements II" (or what it's called) on it because I love to have my Miranda be part of a group of Runabouts swooping in to save the day. I also use Boarding Party III on it when getting close and sometimes deploy turrets, so I'm always playing a whole support wing
When it comes down to the basics it's nothing to write home about. It is your default cruiser with actually less innertia than a battelcruiser, default layout and no tricks or whistles, the trait and console are curiosities that I am not sure have any real situation to be useful. If you have any other cruiser already it performs the same but if you like to collect canon designs and their advanced versions (and the Reliant class looks really nice) it's more of a aesthetics decision, especially as long as it's on sale for 2400 zen.

Visually its an amazing, faithful re-creation of the classic ship. Unfortunately, the Centaur model wasn't touched upon, but still looks ok. The Reliant model looks like a modern take on the classic design, but it didn't tickle my fancy (you might like i though!).
Performance-wise, she kind of feels like a combination of the Guardian Support Cruiser and the Arbiter Battlecruiser. Let me explain:
She is a 4/4 cruiser with access to up to Commander engineering and Lt. Commander Science and Tactical seating much like the Guardian, but on a much more nimble hull with another tactical console at fleet level. What she doesn't have that the Arbiter does is dual cannon capability, but she does have all 4 cruiser commands instead. Also she has up to Lt. Commander pilot seating available.
The trait is situational at best (although it kinda fits the ship) and the console is kind of meh, especially since there are no set-bonuses to had. This is because this ship had no previous release in the C-store, not even a T1 refit. Because of that, there is no other console or equipment to combine that with.
So I'd agree with what everyone else posted. She is a very agile cruiser that can do any role, just doesn't excel at anything other than versatility (although its turn rate is outstanding for a standard cruiser.). Much like with the Guardian, I can't really see anyone being too disappointed with what this ship offers.
"Let them eat static!"
I had 4800 zen ready, but ultimately decided to just get the Miranda for the canon factor. The Romulan and Klingon "ALC"s in my opinion have nothing going for them what the Mat'Ha for example doesn't do better. The Klingon ship looks somewhat nifty, but also too far away fromt he other designs in my opinion. The Romulan one... I really don't care that much, but I think it also has nothing going for it the Aehlal (or what it's called) doesn't already do as a light warbird.

As a ship it flies like and escort, I've got mine up to Turn Rate 50 and that is crazy for a cruiser. Fast as well and i can literally fly circles round the enemy with it.
8 guns too makes for a good amount of flexibility. Currently running a canon layout with pulse phaser BA's and a torp fore and aft and it does pretty well. Nothing special yet but that's because i'm more used to science builds.
I've used pilot abilities on it too, lock trajectory is good fun and i mainly use Reroute 2 Weapons in place of any other energy weapon buffs, maybe some BO3 on there too if i feel the need.
Console i see no real way to get any use from it, just another random uni console nobody will ever use like every other c-store ship console.
The trait has uses if you need shield assistance during attack runs. I have tested it and i wouldn't say it was totally useless, i think it kept me alive a bit more in some situations where aggro was building on me.
Do you have a F-T5U version? Or a T5U? Or even just a T5? If yes they your ship is hated less than the poor Norway, the only DS9 era ship not in-game at all (well except for the Yeger but I hold no illusions about the general opinion of that poor ship).
Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though.
JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

Currently i buyed the Sci Multi-mission 9-pack and T6 Escorts 3-pack (they give me another type of Heavy weapon to choose from), rest saved Zen was used for Mogai and T5 Dhelan Retrofit... and then i was at 0 Zen
...
Personally i'm putting T6 Miranda (and other ships from that 3-pack) after the other ships (the ones i buyed).
The T6 Miranda looks nice, and (as i heard) perform good, but i don't see it introducing anything new or special to the game...
I mean, the Multi-mission Sci ships give 3 sci ships with hangars and 4 console sets to each faction, the Escorts give Heavy Weapon thats not like the other Tacs ships (and they are non-stardard looking and special prefixes for name too)
...
and T6 Miranda...
...
For me it's just another cruiser - sorry... and it can't even mount DHCs...

The BOFF station setup is very flexible to let the player set her up in variety of flavors. The Universal makes the ship quite strong for either ENG, TAC, SCI. For example, I elect to use the Universal for TAC. That gave the ship 6 TAC ability slots, which is only surpassed by a few Cruisers out there. With some extra TAC abilities out there, you can cram a lot of them in and not cripple your build, i.e. still setup for a traditional Beamboat, stuff in APB2, BFAW3, Distributed Targeting 2, 2 copies of Tac Team 1, Focused Assault 2. In my SCI station for even MOAR debuffing, I put in Structural Analysis 2.
That's just one example of the weird things you can do with the ship. These ships not being 5/3 isn't a concern at all. KDF has been wiping the floor with people with 4/4 Battlecruisers since the game launched.
The excellent handling of these 3 ships is of special note. For Cruiser styled ships, 9, 10, 11 turn rate Battlecruisers are a dime a dozen for KDF. For the Roms, they are out there but less common. Same thing for Feds, their Cruisers tend to be very sluggish.
Turn Rate 11
Impulse Mod 0.17
Inertia Rating 40
In the Fed Cruisers / Battlecruisers, you'd be hard pressed to match that mobility. So you don't need to go, "Man, I need some +Turn Rate, RCS into the build to fly more easily." Put the build space into something else.
