Husnock Warship

rickysmith1rickysmith1 Member Posts: 610 Arc User
It would appear that the Husnock Warship was added to the Foundry. Anyone got any story ideas?
Kelvinverse and ToS ships have been edited to.

Not sure of the episode, here: https://youtu.be/QOoN6e1HAsg
ST:TNG 3x03 'Survivors'

Fun Fact: In the ships second return to the planet, Riker describes it as looking meaner. This is because an extra spike was added to the underbelly of the ship. A feature that the Dev team have added to the Foundry Model. :open_mouth:

    1. Dubious Ferengi merchants find a sizable number of derelicts.
    2. They salvage, refurbish, and try to sell these derelicts.
    3. Through oversupply and under-demand, they end up unloading these to a very questionable party (ex. militant Hierarchy, Pakled revolutionaries, Gorn rebels, True Way, APU's, Morn)
    4. Explosions and/or hilarity ensues (depending on the mission)

Alternate Reality: The Federation and the Husnock go to war over the events of X planet with the god like alien who in this instance, decided to run away instead.

MU, The Terran Empire exterminated the Husnock and stole their ships

"The meaning of victory is not to merely defeat your enemy but to destroy him, to completely eradicate him from living memory, to leave no remnant of his endeavours, to crush utterly his achievement and remove from all record his every trace of existence. From that defeat no enemy can ever recover. That is the meaning of victory."

One idea I've been toying with for a mission is that the Husnock were originally a benevolent hive mind species, but got possessed and corrupted by Redjac (from TOS "Wolf in the Fold"). They became xenocidal conquerors as a result, hence their characterization as "a species of hideous intelligence who knew only aggression and destruction".

"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them."

      What about ...

      "Temporal mission - sorry"

Admiral Leeta has been reading through the records she recovered from New Khitomer. She discovers the events of 'Survivors' and concludes that if the Federation had entered into a war with the Husnock, the outcome would greatly improve her own odds against the Terran Emperor.

Stuff happens which results in the Douwd and his wife going elsewhere. The Husnock attack Delta Rana IV as they did in the episode, the Enterprise D investigates the attack as they did, however this time are destroyed by the Husnock Warship, sending the Federation and Husnock into a state of war.

Maybe in this reality the 'Battle of Wolf 359' is fought between the UFP and Husnock Kingdom?

Some future guy/girl who for whatever reason was immune from the timey wimey change has sent you back in time to investigate the change in the timeline and to fix it ... thus leaving the player to fix the timeline which will result in the genocide of the Husnock, and thus suppling me with more ammunition in my belief the Galactic Union / Future Feds are just as bad if not worse than all the other enemies we've encountered.

That's totally in line with what she'd do too.
