Other-faction traits in the Dil Store

Can anyone tell me how these are supposed to work.

I have maxed out Klingon ships such as the Klinzhai and the Slithus - but I don't see their traits showing Fed side - I presume you only get traits which would otherwise not be available to your faction.

I have maxed out the Federation Guardian Cruiser, however - and its Desperate Repairs is now available to my Klingon toons. I have bought the pack from the dil store and unpacked it - but there is no sign of the trait. Is this a bug, or is there something else which now has to be done to unlock it for the character.

I don't know if this is a bug or if I'm just not seeing what I should be doing next.

Can anyone help?

The traits only apperar when you are on groud.. try to change instances, it should appear..

That's what I was expecting. I actually unpacked it on the ground at Ganalda Station. Have changed instances, back to ship, gone to sector space, changed systems - you name it.

No sign of Desperate Measures.

And the option to buy it hasn't returned to the store. So I don't have a clue.

I think its bugged, I have a lot of traits unlocked on my KDF side and non of them show up on my fed toon.

I think I know what's the problem - they seem to have connected Desperate Repairs reward box with a wrong trait - on every char that opened that box I found an Improved Polarize Hull trait which is from the Temporal Nautilus - a ship I don't have.

I'll check when I'm on later, but I don't think I have that trait - I opened it on one of my less used toons - I don't know why, but I was expecting difficulties. I only had five traits unlocked on there, and I still have five.

I'm guessing it has to be a bug. Either that or it seriously needs some instructions.

the cost of the ship and the time it takes to earn them. it's only the faction locked ones and not even all of them but it's something.

Awesome, editing ate my post... But ha! I had copied most of it:

The only ones I have that qualify are the Jupiter's (Fed) and Qib's (KDF) Traits, and so far those have worked fine on the chars that I've tired on so far, and I didn't even need to zone on most chars.

Make sure it didn't somehow end up your Overflow Bag, as a surprising number of things that shouldn't even be items end up in there on occasion. Also, if you tried opening the box by double clicking it with your Bank open, double clicking items send to the Bank instead of using.

You can buy some on the Exhange (from lockboxes orginally) under Reward Packs if you're looking for some to outright buy.

You can buy some on the Exhange (from lockboxes orginally) under Reward Packs if you're looking for some to outright buy.

The Guardian also qualifies but isn't currently unlocking the traits.

I have tried it on another character. I went through it step by step, making sure I didn't miss anything, but it definitely didn't unlock any new traits.

I've seen a rather major bug with these traits. I have a ton of T6 ships on the fed side, most of which have unlocked traits on my main fed toons. When I went to claim them on my Fed aligned Romulan, some of the traits available, such as Desperate Repairs, were available in the store, but when I claimed it, it gave me something entirely different. Also, not all of them are available, so hopefully they get it fixed. I really wish Cryptic had taken another month or so with this patch and actually listened to Tribble feedback.

It seems that particular Trait is bugged, sadly.

Tribble doesn't keep track of user's Holodeck C-Store unlocks, so it doesn't think players have any qualifying ships, rendering it basically untestable by users in this case.

The limited list of Traits that qualify is because most of the other Starship Traits out there have at least some way of being claimed on other factions, whether buying the equivalent ship for that faction or via cross-faction packs from lockboxes. I do hope they expand out the claiming to include both boxed Starship Traits and the non-limited C-Store ships too.

One of the reason's I don't make any other factions other than Fed is because of traits not being available to them, and having 15+ T6 Fed ships with traits not available on other factions kinda keeps me Fed heavy. If they make all my traits available to other factions, I'll definitely rush to go play KDF/Rom.

All I know is, all my KDF and Romulan Characters picked up about 18 or so Traits each, while my Federation Characters picked up exactly one. Look, I know that I have not been that aggressive in unlocking Masteries with my KDF and Romulan Characters but I did unlock more than one.

Some of my Federation Characters will have to unlock Masteries by leveling up Ships that they haven't yet flown, while the KDF and Romulans get them with no work.

Just make unlocking a Starship Mastery an Account unlock already and stop with all the buggy implementations. I guess you can exclude those that you want to continue charging us for. And don't ever put them into R&D Boxes again.

I don't even care about my Starship traits that I own, heck I just want my Delta Prime to be an account unlock lol, It's too expensive.

I have desperate repairs unlocked on several Fed toons. I have claimed the trait from the Dil store on 2 Klingons, and opened the box in my inventory. Neither of them has the trait available.
