Thank God I copied my rom sci officer to the test server before blowing a T5 ship pack.
As a primarily Fed sci officer, I was interested in seeing what the Wells looked like on the romulan side - first hand so to speak. Imagine my surprise when I unpacked the ship to find it had NO singularity core and therefore NO singularity abilities and NO cloak of any description.
Why offer a rom themed version of the ship if these things are going to be omitted? Might as well just made the Wells cross faction so that all could use the same ship model. As it is, it's just the same ship with a warbird skin.
I don't suppose this would ever get fixed?

That's just it. It's great that they included faction specific versions of the Wells and I'm sure all us old-school players were suitably grateful (rem when a Wells would set you back 800m ec?), but why bother doing a rom version of the ship if they weren't going to give it a singularity core and cloak?
If they were going to spend the time to design a hull for it, would it have been that much of a stretch to make it a "proper" romulan sci vessel? It would certainly have gone a long way to address the glaring oversight that was NO proper romulan faction science vessel for a significant time after the LoR launch, albeit at a premium price point before the advent of the Infinity lockbox.

Uh..why not..They are great ships..I still fly my Wells when I log onto my Tac and still use the Romulan Dyson Science Destroyer for my Eng when not Flying the T6 Multimission Warbird. Both the ships I mentioned are already at Fleet level.
If/When the Wells/R'mor goes T6 all it will really get are the specialist seat(s) (probably Temporal with the Temporal Suite) and maybe get a LT engineering (vs Ens Engineering now) which would give it more flexibility but similar seating to the Krenim Sci Vessel..
The Wells is easily the Fastest/Most Maneuverable T5/U Science ship in the game much less in the Federation Fleet of sci ships.The only serious competitors ARE 3 T6 Fed sci ships like: the Fleet Dauntless, Fleet Nautilus and the Fleet Scryer.
I've used the Wells in PVP to run down everything but Pilot escorts.
When I look at the Inertia rating and turn rate..The only Sci Ship that got a better turn rate is the Daemosh @ 16 vs the Wells/R'mors 15 base turn. The Inertial Rating on the Wells/R'mor is 60 so far..the only sci ship with that rating..The Wells also physically is half the Size of the Daemosh (Wells also looks dammn good). Making it a pain to spot on some maps till they are closer.
As far as pve applications? I see no major difference between t5u and t6. Once the Wells gets the T6 treatment. We will just get some more tools is all.

You're kidding right? The Wells has almost perfect boff seating for an exotic/torp boat, no significant losses stat-wise over anything that it could be compared to at T6 and is far more manoeuvrable than the C-Store offerings.
The only thing you lose are potential specialist seatings, which are over-rated and under-powered for the most part anyway. Outside of inflated dps staged team-effort ISA runs etc, I routinely out-damage everyone in pugs, in both ISA and CCA. Without trying.
