Scanning with the Sutherland

fovrelfovrel Member Posts: 1,448 Arc User
When my AoY/TOS character scans while flying the Sutherland there comes a white disc from the deflector. The white disc is normal. It is always a white disc, but with the Sutherland it is vertical. The scan disc crosses the saucer. It is ugly, but I always thought it is designed to work this way.

After the issue with the railgun, a weapon intended to do damage, but does negative damage, which is a heal, I have doubts. I think the scan disc should be horizontal, just as it is on other ships. If so, I would like to see a fix

would it even be visible if it was coming from the main deflector?

I, Sutherland the II, approve of the vertical deflector things.

does the Duke of @artan42 agree?

While I would agree that this should be a bug report, I thought I'd pop in to add that its not just the Sutherland as my TOS captain's T6 NX does this too. Of course, at least in the NX's case it does not clip too much into the saucer. I probably should have submitted a bug report in-game myself weeks ago, but this now makes me wonder if any other ships do this too. Since the normal animation (Normal Fed, Rom, KDF) doesn't really have an "up" or "down" angle it must only be noticible on a TOS toon.
