almost 5 years in Cryostasis...

It's been awhile since I played this game. I remember why I left, I still think PWE games should be taxes like a casino. coming back I see the practices are going strong! want a new T6 ship?, gamble on boxes...

All that aside, There has been a lot of new content added and it's been fun trying to get my bearings again. some things suck as always, but it's workable.

I just have a few questions, when does the amount of dilithium you can refine reset? I went to sleep at 1:30am this morning and I know I didn't have 8k ore to refine, and I thought subscribing allowed you to refine more, my subbed account and unsubbed account get the same 8k a day.

Is there a way to exchange dilithium between accounts without using the exchange? I've noticed people have camped just about the entire range from 250 to 500 dilithium to snare the 1 or 2 transactions for high priced dilithium, so I can't take the 8500 off my second account for 500 dilithium per 1 ZEN, or any number under I've tried.

You do the work to earn the dilithium, you should be able to litter spacedock with it if you want. ehh oh well, getting my ship gear up to par will take a little extra time. people will have to deal with it if I queue for PvE mission, limitations of the game don't let you catch up that quick!

I do like the TOS and Romulan stories, that has been a lot of fun! do you even get to travel in time to bring your old TOS ship to modern time?

Thanks!! back to working this out...

Dilithium refining gets reset every 24 hrs. But I don't know the exact time.
Having sub does not get you more refining automatically.
Dilithium Exchange is the only way to transfer Dil from one character to another.
All of your ships from TOS do come forward with you, including the TOS Skills and gear. Currently you can fly a ship from any century up to the 32nd, I think, in the game. Tier determines their power more so than the era they come from.

I get my new T6 ships from the C-Store.

1 - I think I read the "dilithium clock" resets somewhere around 6am - 7am, but I could be wrong. As a subscriber (assuming you are an 800 day veteran) there is an NPC you need to speak to in the Academy to get a Doff mission that allows you to refine an extra 1,000 dilithium every other day; it takes 48 hours for the mission to complete. At Starfleet Academy the NPC is to the right of the entrance to the main building. As for the KDF Academy, the NPC is located in the area where the Exchange is as well as the bank and mail consoles. Specifically, he is at the center right side of the room when you enter.

2 - No, the only way to transfer Dil between characters on the same account is to use the Dil Exchange. The way to do it is to make sure whatever the current price is for Zen you need to low ball it. Looking at the Exchange right now, 1 Zen is selling for 290 refined Dil. If I wanted to transfer 800,000 refined Dil to another character, I can simply put in an offer to buy 4,000 Zen at 250 Dil per Zen. Since 250 Dil is less than the current 290 Dil other players are will to buy Zen at, your order to purchase Zen will not be fulfilled. At that point simply cancel your pending offer, switch to the character to whom you wish to transfer Dil to, then withdrawal the Dil.

I would suggest to not even take the chance at "250" ..... although getting Zen at much lower than market price isn't really a bad thing, your offer actually being accepted when you really, really want the Dilithium for your other toon would be a pain. The few times I transfer Dilithium between toons I always set my offer at 25:1 (the lowest it will let you go.

Although the chances of someone actually buying my Dilithium at 25:1 are about the same as opening 100 lockboxes and getting a T6 ship on every single one, if it actually did happen ...... then I could just use all that Zen and buy a ton of Dilithium for my other toon anyway.

Of course, thinking about it, if someone accepted your 250:1 offer when the going rate is 290:1, you could still use all that new Zen and just buy even more Dilithium than you started with.
    LTS and loving it.

Couple of potenially relevant sources of cheap ships:
Free T6 ship in the summer event, these have been good in the past but details are currently unkown.
T5 ships that were lockbox consolation prizes like mirror ships, APU cruiser, sel on exchange for lowish millions rather than hundreds of millions for sought after T6.
20% of ship sale, maybe due in 6-8 weeks, which usually comes after zen sale.

I don't know if the dilithium clock is the same for all players or different, but I live in the mountain timezone of North America and it resets at 6:00 pm for me.

I guess you live in Asia then? For me, it is about midnight GMT, depending on different days Daylight Savings is reached between server place and mine.

You get 8k dil refining on the button, no matter your status. However, as a subscriber, you have a contact at the academy to grant you more.

And you can use your TOS ship in "modern times". It stays T1 though. Unless I severely misunderstood the question.

Nope. That's just what I read somewhere.

And you need to be an 800 day veteran to get the Doff mission to refine an extra 1,000 Dil which takes 48 hours to complete. That's accomplished by subbing for 800 days or immediately upon purchasing the Life Time Subscription.

I don't get the problem...list the ore as low as you can...which I think the minimum is 50 ore per zen...no one will buy it...I've never had it happen even once.

My experience is that the Dilithium reset time is 24 hours from the last time I refined 8K. It used to be in the morning, now it's in the evening. If I wait 36 hours, it'll be back in the morning again.

Dilithium refining reset time is 12midnight GMT. Adjust for your local time equivalent.

It is not based on anything else like "24 hours from when I last refined". Especially since vets get up to 7 days of missed refining auto-handled on login. Based on GMT-based counter only.

And at the Command Center on mol'Rihan, Romulan characters need to look off to their left as they enter the main round room. The Veteran Refinement NPC is standing just outside the corridor leading back to the tailor.

Dil refining resets at 5:00 in the afternoon for me here in California (gmt -8, I think)

For the dil-ex, try posting buy orders at some low number like 100 (i.e. offer to buy 85 with your daily 8500) and then cancel the order

Thank you for ALL your replies! After posting last night it was 5pm to 5:30pm that it reset for, while I was posting this.

Unfortunately, a lot of the info from 2012 when I left the game isn't showing up, I started playing on 8/6/2010, left around 4/17/2012, I can only figure that out with along list of expired exchange mail. lol But I can't find my info from when everything was on the PWE site, so it's saying I've only been subbed for 5 days. I need to look on that other account and see what it says.

I think any subscription time from back then is gone. I know I used to want the money pet on DS9 and would think I'd never get it, so I had to have subscribed for some time.

I'm going to go check on that account, it was my oddball character, an orange oompa loompa with green hair, and oddly enough, I put more work into that char than my own!

Something is off, says my oompa loompa was made on 05/17/2012... and I guess between May 2012 and October 2012 I put more work into my Oompa than I ever did my main account, before going to Swtor.

Is there a way in game to so how many days you have been subscribed?

Dilithium resets at 5PM Pacific Time, so translate that to your timezone. During Fall after we "Fall back" an hour it will be at 4PM Pacific Time. If you're subbed your dilithium should auto-refine for you. In order to refine more than 8k per day as a subscriber/lifer, you need to go to(assuming you're Federation...) Starfleet Academy and talk to the guy that will do that extra 1k for you.

Not sure on days subscribed. I do know you can check the date your character was created or the time played by each toon.

To check the date a character was created, go into your missions page ("J") then click the "Accolades" tab. Scroll down until you see "Welcome to STAR TREK ONLINE" header.
If you click on this it will display the Date and Star Date your character was created.

To see how much time a character has been logged in use the command --> /played ---> type that into the chat box.
    Then click the NPC tab.
It will list your cumulative in game time. One of my mains is just over 3000 hrs.
