Given that 3 of my 7 KDF characters are Ferasan, I cannot wait to pick this ship up. Actually 2 of my 3 Romulans toons are Reman so quite looking forward to that as well. Thinking since I like the new Gorn ship so much may start a second Gorn toon for that.
It's a Good time to be an Ally of the Empire.
Never thought we would see a Ferasan ship and hoped it would be a HEC or Flight Deck Cruiser, but this looks cool non-the less.
Can't wait to see what other heavy weapons they roll out and when they update other ships with them like the Kor, Mah'ta, Kolasi, and Veteran ship to name a few.
Thanks for the Advanced Light Cruiser, Allied Escort Bundles, Jem-Hadar Light Battlecruiser, and Mek'leth

Looking at the stats, I like it. some people complain every time there is a ship without 5 forward weapons, but I roll my eyes at that, this beast will have no problem blowing targets up.
I saw a video of it's Caitian Twin and I have to say I like the Raingun visuals already I laughed at seeing it heal the target. Functional it seems like a basic photon torpedo with 360 arc. Nothing insanely over powered, but nice to have.
I just found out on reddit that the Slithus has special clan markings you can pick for it and it's own prefix FDV (Fersan Defence Vessel) while the Caitian has CDS (caitian Defence Ship I'm guessing), which applies to the the Atroix as well.
Now I kinda want to make a Feresan. But I already got too many characters.
Not having a Ferasan character is considered a heresy in STO. Just FYI.
Then I am a heretic.
There will probably be another recruiting event. Something to think about.
If it allows making a KDF character to benefit from it, yes. I think for the Delta Recruitment event I made another Klingon. Or was it the Gorn? Something at least.

No non-Klingon alts for me (I could never quite get my head around them being addressed as "Dahar Master") but have picked this one up mainly because of the trait. Kahless Kaaste, that trait! +30% CritH for 8s? How can you go wrong?
Actually, you can - at least in terms of who benefits most from it. While awesome for any build, the trait it looks like it works best on ships that don't need Evasive to escape and don't need to point at their targets, IE broadside cruisers. On a raider, which really should be the definition of hit-and-run, you sacrifice your EM-boosted escape option. OTOH both the Kor and D4X can use Attack Pattern Lambda which helps a bit.
Really, it would have made sense to have an initial damage boost then the defense boost. But I can see why that would be mechanically awkward.

You mean giving you a buff 15 seconds before you activate another power?
That would indeed be awkward, having Temporal Investigations comb all over your company searching for other temporal violations... "Did Cryptic really deliver on schedule, or did they just copy the build from 2 weeks later?"

As long as "hit and run" is linked to evasive maneuvers, it's pretty much stuck as it is ("run and hit") because of the need to trigger the getaway maneuver. The downside is that this works great for ships which use Evasive to engage the enemy (notably, cruisers) but is in some ways counter-productive for ships which use Evasive to, well, evade - like raiders. The irony of this trait is that it's much better for my DHC-build D7 than my D4X.
IMO a better solution would be to have linked the bonus to Attack Pattern Omega, which is a better fit for hit-and-run tactics and could accommodate the pattern better - offensive boost first, deployed while on an attack run, then a defensive boost as the user shoots past and evades away. However, that would have appealed to a much smaller chunk of the playerbase (and would not work with all ships).

What do you mean? Can you clarify?

One of my Ferasans is using the Gorn ship, while one has the new Kitty ship, and my 3rd cat has a T6 Jem HEC.
I'm waiting for a Recruitment event to make second Gorn to put in the Gorn ship, as my current Gorn is rocking a Krenn, Korath Rozenko and Paradox.
Have Catians unlocked for tailor (hehe tail) features, but I'll likely make a Catian then too. Already have 2 Reman.

Ah, I see, thank you. That's very neat!
I'm cautiously optimistic!
I've been flying it over the past couple of days and haven't noticed this. Will look closer tonight!
Love ships that get extra animations. Like D4X.
