But to put this in perspective you don't owe them anything and they don't owe you anything either. If you don't like the changes then vote with your dollars euros anddon't spend them

I am so happy and overwhelmed by the fun generated when being nerfed back to season 7 power levels and choices (set sarcasm to warp 9.97).
Surprised they did not just announce all content after season 7 will be removed, would be much simpler and have an even greater effect at closing the DPS gap and therefore returning Fun to the game (sarcasm set to warp 0.3). LoR was a great expansion, probably the one best executed and received and certainly a lot of fun. Doing a hashed job of partially resetting things back to that date (13 November 2012) while leaving many of the abilities released since then still ingame (if in a reduced state of effectiveness) is simply a mess.
Currently regretting the full Vesta cross faction bundle purchase made at its launch, had I known this was coming I would have given that and a number of other ship purchases a miss.

Are you married to Gravity Well?
Because other powers recieved a buff compared to what we have on Holodeck. Time for some experimentation and see if there aren't new, competitive builds.
Star Trek Online Advancement: You start with lowbie gear, you end with Lobi gear.
Hi Spartan, Im not sure if you are still replying, but Id like to post anyways. I really like most of the balancing thats going on. While its fun to continue to build stronger and stronger ships, there comes a point where your ship is so powerful that missions take 20 seconds to spacebar through unless on the highest difficulty. Or it becomes pay-to-play with zen buying the best ships, traits, and gear.
My concern is with Subnuke becoming a BOFF ability. The removal of science-captain exclusivity removes the defining power of science captains. Deflector Overcharge isnt a suitable replacement, at least in its current state.
Subnuke obviously shines in PvP. Cryptic does care about PvP balance, or else you wouldnt have dealt with immunities and temporal exotic damage. A BOFFed subnuke removes the need for science captains all together.
In PvE, some find the ability to be less universally useful, but they might not be playing on Elite queues with bosses. DO will not be as useful on non-science ships.
Deflector Overcharge is more of a watered down Attack Pattern Alpha. APA gives the same damage boost but to weapons and exotic. On top of damage, it boosts crit H and D. Engineers have EPS Transfer which boosts exotic and weapon damage through +power. Deflector Overcharge gets some side bonuses besides damage, but really, the bonuses are about 1 console worth of 20 second boost. A typical build wouldnt even make use of all of them at once. Like I wouldnt make a hybrid exotic and drain build, i would to one or the other making the exotic boost useless, or the drain useless. An engineer or tac captain will find their powers useful for all builds, on any ship. Even the 50% exotic boost can be replicated with 2 science consoles sold cheaply on the exchange.
I think that DO needs to be severely buffed, APA only affect weapon damage, or sci captains should keep DO and subnuke, then drop another ability. I propose dropping Scattering Field because diminishing returns makes the power less effective than it looks in stats. Or you could even bring Scattering Field's effect into what DO does. Another option is to make Scattering Field a BOFF ability.
