Was MVAM changed?

Iv started flying my Advanced escort (Fleet T5-U) while thinking about buying the new T6 version and I noticed something strange about the way MVAM works now.

It seems the sections no longer stick around like they once did, I remember them before staying indefinitely being True pets even to the point where they'd stay floating in space after being disabled.

But now they disappear after about a minute or so in combat and within seconds out of combat, I tested this again at DS9 and they disappeared instantaneously. Is this how the console functions now? Or have I run into some kind of bug?

Known bug affecting all separation pets. They seem to have troubles finding what is causing it, though.

Yeah was just testing my Dreadnought cruiser and noticed the same thing going on. Hope it gets fixed soon.

They should just change it so separation pets get treated like hangar pets

Not always. MVAM separated pets seem to keep up well, while most if not all hangar pets lag behind and actually de-spawn altogether. Odyssey and I think Gal-X saucers are both pretty poor, perhaps worse than hangar pets in terms of firing on your target or even bothering to keep up.

I've heard reports of some hangar pets responding to pet commands on tribble, but not all. They're all in need of way overdue fixes, not just improvements, since they are outright broken.
