Hangar pets can't go to full impulse

I did some testing with hangar pets. It seems none of them is able to go to full impulse. Though they seem to be able to get an initial impulse burst they can't keep up with you and fall behind immediately.
carrier: Temporal Heavy Dreadnought Cruiser
system: Drozana
I tested the following hagar pets :
- Advanced Peregrine Fighters
- Type 10 shuttles
- Advanced Danube Runabouts
- Advanced Delta Flyers
- Reinforced Shield Repair Units
- Elite Class F Shuttles
- Elite Cestus Frigates
