What ship should I get i Pheonix Prize pack?

I'm using Star Cruiser, but it can't use cannons.
I would like to have fight planes supporting me, I dunno which ship is the best and more friendly.

If I get a Ultra Rare or Epic, which one should I go for?

    Its hard to say, look at the specs of the ship and see whats to your likening. Looks, seating weapons and pets if it has them are just a few things I looked at.

    You only get to choose a Phoenix pack ship with Ultra Rare or Epic rewards.

    Rare and Very Rare DO NOT award a ship choice.

    Based on your wishes, I assume you would want a carrier? Well the Sarr Theln Breen carrier has 2 hangars and the Voth Bulwark has one hangar (I think!).

    Just for the love of Q, do not open those packs for ships alone. Open them for tech upgrades and a couple of other items, but don't expect to get any ships even out of dozens of packs or even hundreds.

    I got the attack ship, so I could have the badassed frigates on my dreadnought.
    It's a great escort too, even at t5u.
    I only mention it as you mentioned pets.
    Back when I started playing I was in an assault cruiser for a long time but wanted hangar pets, so I worked for a while and got the Jem dread. Been eyeing those attack ships for years and finally got one far easier than if I had opted to grind or sell keys for one.
    Not necessarily "advice" pe say, but my personal story in a similar vain.

    If you want Hangar Pets, then you are limited to the Tier 6 Breen Dreadnought Cruiser, Tier 6 Breen Carrier, or the T5-U Voth Dreadnought Cruiser. The Breen Dreadnought Cruiser and Breen Carrier can use dual cannons according to STO wiki. If you get one of those Breen ships and the T5-U Breen Heavy Raider, then you can use the Breen Heavy Raider as a Hangar Pet.

    Each pack basically gives you a reward voucher of varying rarity. Gold and dark purple reward ships, while the others reward other things like the shotgun.

    Not quite. It is a package that will drop a certain token. The Epic Token lets you choose which Tier 6 Event ship to pick up and the Ultra-Rare Token lets you choose which Tier 5 Event ship and Tier 5 Duty Officer Event ship (Jem'Hadar Attack Ship and Voth Bulwark). More info can be found here.
