Dry Dock Slots and Subscription

What happens to ships, that are in the extra Dry Dock Slots from a sub., when that sub. ends?

Tried to ask the support the same question, but they couldn't give me a clear answer...
I do believe in killing the messenger...
Want to know why?
Because it sends a message!

    Answer ✓
    People have posted here that the game "loans" you the excess active and dry dock slots until you remove the ships. So you leave the ship, all is OK. You remove the ship, the slot vanishes. You buy more slots, the first ones are used to pay back the loan. (So 1 extra ship and you buy 5 slots, only 4 new slots appear).
