Why can't I find or see my fleet in the "find fleet" tab?

Why can't I find or see my fleet in the "find fleet" tab of the social tab? I am the Fleet Admiral of an established fleet - STARFLEET COMMAND BATTLE GROUP - and am unable to see or find (in a general search) my fleet. I have the "Fleet search-hide from fleet search" box UNchecked in our fleet settings but am unsure as to what else may need to be done. I ask because a friend has been searching to join our fleet but has been unable to find us. Any assistance would be much appreciated. Cheers!

    Not sure why your fleet doesn't show up, but you can invite your friend to the fleet directly. There's an invite button on the roster, or you can just right-click on your friend's name in chat (or on the friends list) and choose the appropriate option.

    Perhaps they assume you know where your fleet is (being in it and all) and so the fleet you're in won't show in a search?

    The search interface showing Fleets is really bad. It only shows some Fleets at one time and you have to 'refresh' it to have it cycle through more names. (You may have to do this several times to show all Fleets as some of the same ones will get shown again with the refresh).

    I'm not really sure why the interface is set up this way... or what criteria is used to show certain Fleets but not others... :/

    I have had a couple of friends try to search for our fleet but they have been unable to find us in the fleet search. I have also cycled through the "find fleet" tab of the social section but have also had no success in seeing our fleet. The "hide from fleet search" and "hide fleet search member list" boxes in the information section of our fleet window are unchecked but is there some other box we need to check or something I am missing. All responses are appreciated

    That tab has never actually been reliably functional. Best to treat it as if it will not list your fleet when you want it to, and to act as though it doesn't exist. This means sending out invites through the fleet roster tab.

    Thanks tactical, it's frustrating when friends tell me they can't find my fleet and of course means that other players can't see it to join but I guess there's not much I can do about it. Cheers
