i just did some doffing FROM MY PHONE

thats right. i just did some doffing and admiralty missions from my phone.

how?

chrome remote desktop.

its a free app/extension. install it on your desktop. download the app on your smart phone/tablet, then remote connect to your desktop.

i could literally play the game on my smart phone if i had an external mouse and keyboard, but even without those you can easily do doff and admiralty missions.

    what games were you running through your smartphone via remote desktop 20 years ago?

    I used to use VNC for this years ago. It's nowhere near fast enough to do anything but DOFFing or admiralty missions.

    I used remote desktop from my phone to get some of the anniversary giveaways last year. Also used it to play Hearthstone on my phone before they released that game on mobile.

    How does this look like on your phone leviathan? Is it all zoomed out because its a desktop screen view? A lot of pinching and zooming for the doff windows and such? Since it isnt a app designed for small screens. Sounds like a pain in the keister.

    Everything is just really small, you don't tap on the STO buttons though you actually drag the cursor around and tap the screen to click. Definitely something you only do to claim a promotion your not home for or as a one time thing for fun.

    I have played with various different remote desktop apps, including the official windows remote desktop app.

    Incidentally if you have a tablet and an Iphone you can use the Logitech remote mouse server so you have a tablet screen and a phone to use as a mouse and keyboard. Couldn't get chat to work.

    Goimg to try doing this on a Chromebook or Linux Laptop next.

    Also going to take a look at using steam streaming to my old laptop

    I just wish I could set up my favorite doff missions to be automatically started when they are available. It takes forever to do doffing and Admiralty on the 8 toons I have. I really only get to do a complete fill on my days off. :'(
