Carrier Pets, KDF

Hello all. On my Star fleet captain I have a hanger pet that launches a single craft instead of 6. Can you buy the single hanger pets anywhere for KDF ships? I cannot seem to find the single ship pet anywhere. I have the fighters but all the hanger pets I have on the KDF side are all "fighter" type pets that launch in 2 rows of 3. Is there any option to get the single hanger pets anywhere (Or anymore) for the kdf side?

    Pets like these are also referred to as "Frigates". They are often locked to particular ships, usable only on them.

    The Klingon Vo'Quv has the Bird of Prey Frigate. The Fek'lhri Battlecarrier can use the Fer'Jai frigates.
    Note that these Carriers are all Tier 5. Unfortunately there are still no KDF Tier 6 Carriers around.


    Carriers from lockboxes or promotions often also have frigate pets available, unfortunately often requiring ownership of an additional lockbox ship, which makes it rather expensive. (Cheapest among those is probably the Sphere Builder option: The Edoulg and the Denuos both can use the Arehbes Pet, which is a "only" a Tier 5 lockbox ship and so it's relatively cheap.)
    Star Trek Online Advancement: You start with lowbie gear, you end with Lobi gear.

    Which KDF ship(s)? Most "frigate" pets are tied to specific ships.

    I'm talking about the Jem Hadar t6 battle carrier. Currently I have Aion time ships and elite fleet fighters. I cannot find a single "frigate" type pet anywhere.

    That is because in order to use the Jem Hadar frigate pets you need to have unlocked the T5 or T6 Jem Hadar attack ship on the character with the carrier.

    The only KDF-specific "frigates" in the game are the Elite Qaw'Dun BOPs / B'Rel BOPs for the Vo'Quv / Mirror Vo'Quv / Fleet Vo'Quv, and the Fer'Jai Frigates for the Kar'Fi carrier. I'm not sure if you can see these frigates in the store if you don't own the ships. They can only be used on those specific ships.

    A word of warning, as frigates with a focus on narrow arc weapons, they suck. They can be made to work well but requires a stupid amount of micromanaging.

    Good advise, I mean I don't have them, but I do have the Callistos Light Escorts frigates for the Jupiter Carrier, and they require even more micromanging then the BoP frigates and the Feklri Frigates.

    But if your willing to do the extra work compared to fighters or beam based frigates, they can be a lot of fun.

    I'd add that while they aren't frigates, Orion Tachyon Drones have a Max of two per hanger like Frigates, because they are brutal shield strippers, especially if you can keep them a live and get them to rank 5. Traits help with this, both healing in the case of various Star Ship Mastery Traits and ranking them faster in the case of wing commander personal trait.
