Targ companion?

So, I bought my first Klingon a targ some time ago. Made another Klingon, couldn't find the targ in the C-Store, figured it must have been removed after I bought it or something.

Now there's a personnel promo, and the list of items promoed includes the targ companion - I figure hyey, maybe it's back! Log onto the Klingon without it - and it's still not there.

What am I missing?

    Does the C-Store description say it is an account unlock or for a single character?

    Services and some items are per-character purchases.

    I have this one too, like you I bought it a long time ago. I think it was a limited-time thing; it's not in the C-Store any more.

    An accopunt unlock can claimed for free on any qualifying subsequent character - a character unlock must be purchased seperatelyh on each character - in either case, the item is always available one way or the other for every qualifyinhg character.

    It was not a limited time offer as far as I know, because since I've had this issue friends that play STO were able to buy a pet Targ pup from the C-Store. It's just a bug that Cryptic refuses to fix for some reason, I've made like a billion bug reports since 2013 about it, to no avail.

    I have a lot of Klingon characters and each one has a pet Targ pup, but after this bug appeared I just buy them off the exchange - I bought 2 a month ago for 8 mil. EC each. The price varies, those were the last 2 on the exchange then and there was one more the next day but it was 28 mil. lol :lol: Either that, or have a friend that hasn't got the bug buy one for you and you can pay him with transfering dilithium or contraband.

    yeah isnt it like a '1 per account bug' once you own it you will never see it in the store again??​​

    I have the targ companion along with the Al Rivera tribble as an acct unlock from a pre-order hardcopy of the game, bestbuy i believe.

    Even then i still think its there listed under personnel.

    Nope... I posted some time ago in here (will have to look and see if my thread still exists)... It's not a bug, it is as intended. You get 1 Targ, that's it. Once it's purchased, it leaves the store. I had a lengthy conversation with customer service over this, to no avail. They simply had no idea what I was talking about.

    So, your not the only one this has happened to...

    After the first couple answers here, I put in a ticket, and received a response that, indeed, this one item is intended to be available one time per account. A company that does everything it can to encourage you to spend as much money as you can buying stupid nonsense for the game decided nah, we don't want people to spend more money to buy more of this one item - we just want them to be able to buy it once.

    Eh - every game has a few idiots making idiotic decisions in it. :p

    I think those are still leftovers from when you could get a Targ pet from the first anniversary event. They should ask for rather hefty collector's prices pig-2.gif​​

    Sorry for your troubles. I still have mine and still get one for every KDF toon that I make. I don't honestly remember how I got him, but believe it was on the first anniversary, as AngryTarg said.
