Hey team, great show! So, my thoughts on the new teaser... I am pretty impressed at the apparent quality going into the show. It seems like they really want it to shine, which is great. I was taking another look at the wireframe ship this morning, and I've suddenly convinced myself that ship is actually shown upside-down.

Sounds nice, but based off of just that little blurb it still seems like wishful thinking at this point. That's the danger in reading between the lines; sometimes you only see what you want to see. Neat if it actually happened though...I just hope they (the DSC team) refrain from laying on too much fanservice, that gets dull.

What are your thoughts on the latest teaser for Star Trek Discovery ?
They have sets and rubber heads now, so that's a good sign. That one ship on the computer screen (NOT the 70s-era one...blech) looks good as the model for our eponymous vessel. I don't get the split chevron badges; maybe they were meant to have an additional function at some point? Can't be combadges if it's set pre-TOS though, so for the moment they look like a design decision that someone didn't think through properly. Ah well.
