Anyone else feel the T5 Infinity ship pack is getting the short end?

This is the second time they've taken ships out of the pack. There were ships added to the T6 pack thought. Weren't they just going to add ships to the packs? A lot of us lost the chance to claim something like the Jem'hadar ship.

    I don't see the point of removing the T5 versions of these ships, just because they now have T6 versions of them.

    Me neither. Well, besides enabling those of us who own the last remaining boxes of T5's to sell them to collectors for a crazy profit.

    I wonder what happens to the T5 ship packs themselves if they remove ALL the ships from it?

    Hm yeah I don't know why they're removing the T5 ships... but it's not just the T5 infinity ships that were removed without clear reason of course. It's the same for event ships.

    I agree that they just should've kept the T5 versions in the package.

    But if it makes you feel better, the T5 ships aren't that useful anymore (or rather, worth the price) as single account unlocks with no trait so I would just go for a T6 one, OP.

    If you have a T6 pack, yes. But I don't, and the ability to get a T5 version was taken away from me.

    Have you actually looked at the T5 ships pack? there is no Jem'hadar ship in there anymore. I actually wanted to use the ship I had in the pack, not buy it at crazy prices on exchange.

    There are plenty of T5 Jem Dreads in the exchange still. I was only on a few hours ago.

    Considering the (still actively dropping) T5 ships in the infbox cost about 20-25% of the price of T6's and the "new" T6 versions are almost identical to the removed T5s, the old ones would be very much useful for not-so-spacerich players if they continued to drop.

    You know i never thought about it that way.

    As the replacements for the T5's keep happening eventually there will only be a single ship to chose from, which will be a pretty poor choice.
    Eventually they are going to need to offer some alternative to the T5 prize pack as it will become worthless, perhaps an exchange program to get a T6 pack instead?

    They would obviously just remove the T5 pack from the infinity lock box altogether. If you're crazy enough to hold onto them, then you're taking a big risk.

    This is a long way down the road though.

    No the phoenix pack contained retired event ships and retired promo ships.

    well so much for that idea, thought the t5 bug was in the phoenix pack... So guess I'm with yall on the 'dont remove these'

    I am confused now. I got my T-5 (now T-5u) Jem'hadar attack ship from a phoenix pack. I thought. I know I did not buy it from the exchange and I know I did not open a lockbox and I know that no one gave it to me. That is the "Bug" ship we are talking about, right.

    No that's a retired promo ship which is in the phoenix pack. We are talking about the old T5 lock box ships that are in the infinity lock box.

    I'd be happy if when I actually opened lock boxes a ship would be there. My luck is usually, "Thanks for playing, try again!" like most other lottery scratch offs.

    OK, what happens if I open an old Jem Hadar lockbox and get really lucky? Will I now get a T6 ship, or still the T5? What about the "consolation ship" box?

    Feels like there might be a breakdown in the logic of all this somewhere...

    I think it still gives a T5 Jem'Hadar Heavy Escort Carrier. However, your odds of getting one are about the same as getting a T6 choice pack from the Infinity box, and you'd have a lot fewer non-winning items worth anything (Dominion is an older lockbox without a lot of goodies in the choice packs of the Infinity has). So, not much reason to do that.

    Huh?

    Nothing has changed about that old lockbox, btw it's called the Dominion Lockbox. If for whatever reason, there are people that haven't yet discarded them and they decided to open an old-school Dominion lockbox and they happen to win the grand prize, it would be a T5 Jem'Hadar Heavy Escort Carrier. If they won a consolation ship prize, it would be one of the mirror ships.

    And what about the Admiralty Cards that come with those ships? We're out those, too, if the T5s are removed.

    Some new T5s would be nice, maybe a Terran NX-01? Terran JJ ships? Basically, I'm thinking ships that would not have any special consoles, no spec seating, but would provide additional customization options for certain T6 lockbox and Lobi ships.

    Problem is they are specifically Replacing those T5s with updated T6s. Same they are doing for the Lobi Store. This is what they said they were going to do.

    Having both versions in the would eventually make the plethora of ships in the Infinity or Lobi Store unwieldy. Having too many means more choices that then reduces supplies of most ships, making them more expensive on the Exchange once the Ferengi get their hands on them.

    would love to see the mirror skins for romulan ships unlocked for their t6 versions

    but I think the day of new t5s is done
