If it would have 7 weapon slots maybe.
Now not impressive.
Science ships have 6 weapon slots which is made up for by SA, a secondary deflector, and relying more on skills than direct energy damage. You're not impressed because it's a science ship when we were told it was a science ship before this point? Have you not looked at almost every other science ship in the game?

Lol I have an Annorax with 7 weapon slots
So don't try to play smart with me ;-)
You're being the smart TRIBBLE honestly. You're comparing a PROMO ship, which falls into the "almost every other" category of those ships that have science aspects but get a bonus. (The Tal Shiar ships are the same) Every NORMAL T-6 science ship has 6 slots. Wanna try and counter that one or just make another intentionally stupid reply?
And checking, the Annorax is a Dreadnought, NOT a pure science ship. It has no secondary deflector, which is the hallmark of science ships and is filling a hybrid roll. So you're outright entirely wrong.

I am not here to start a discussion with some one who clearly cannot just respect my opinion in the first place.
Very much in love with the ship, even though this ship isn't a carrier. It's a ship that will be good to obtain all of my characters, if only for the Admiralty card and the eventual console set that will come.
Statwise on first look, not very impressive. Below average hull, slightly even shields, only somewhat better turn rate. And... no secondary deflector?
Kinda bland anyway, with all the powercreep. Not that that's really a bad thing. Wouldn't want to feed the powercreep monster with every new ship of course.
TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class. Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider. Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.

That "...no secondary deflector" is propably just omission in Blog - all pure science ships (meaning no cariers or dreads with sci characteristics) in STO have secondary deflector - period.

This statement isn't entirely accurate. The Annorax does have a secondary deflector.
Carry on.

I wouldn't have wanted a carrier, but I would have liked a single hangar or separation pet, so we could have used those funny looking support drones we get on ground as space pets

Probably, but could also be their mistake andit will only get patched and fixed later.

Also Paradox Temporal Dreadnought
Sphere Builder Edoulg Science Vessel
have 7 weapon slots and secondary deflector
Yup, Annorax and Paradox are "Science dreadnoughts" (although, are you sure Edoulg has 7 wep slots? I though it was a regular sci ship with a hangar bay and ability to load Dual cannons, like the Vesta). Roughly to sci ships what Dreadnought cruisers are to regular cruisers.

Guys, sorry for a potentially dumb question, but is this going to be like the winter and summer events where I only need to unlock the ship with a single character, at which point it becomes an account-wide unlock? Or am I going to have to grind with all my characters? Free ship though...AWESOME!
I have nine days left to get mine on. I like it. My sci captains will like it. It's free. You only spend a few minutes a day catching Omega particles to get one. No biggie. I just did mine today, with time left before maint.
I always appreciate free or even free for a few minutes of your time per day. I'm thankful they made event ships account-wide unlocks. Then it would be more of a grind than it is now, I remember people talking about that before they switched.
Now a LTS and loving it.
Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything.
And how do we remove this stupidity?
Seriously, who thought adding the bar in the middle of all of the hail screens was a good idea?, it looks stupid, it is annoying, and we have no way of changing the bridge layout so we cannot remove this stupid layout.

At least add an option to remove the ugly bar...
Wow, really? That's insane.

Its a wonderful looking science ship, but the stats seem to be inclining it to be a carrier, why not add a hangerbay or two? or just one, with either a secondary deflector ? or perhaps a single hanger bay with Lukari probes that have been rigged for combat? :3 a gorn engineering carrier would be fun :p Oh well, i could always dream, still thank you folks at Cryptic for STO, its such a fun game.~

My sci toon is gonna love it i got a nice little exotic build that kills while the enemy has full shields
And what is so hard about devoting a few minutes of your time per day to get the ship?
It's never been that difficult for me to do, and yet I still see people complaining about having to grind. Fer cryin' out loud, a grind would be having to take your alts through it as well, not just one captain for however many days it takes.

I don't find this ship impressive. Full stop.
it's FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Does it star burst into hyperspace?
That would be a nice touch.

Don't make ARC mandatory! Keep it optional only!

My character Tsin'xing
My character Tsin'xing
I mean I wasn't a huge fan of last years anniversary ship but the setup of the Lukari one looks even less appealing to me than it.
