I know that over the years this topic has been mentioned by players and recognized by Developers, but I wish to continue to re-iterate to the Developers the EXTREME NEED for both a Kit Module and Vanity Pet tab. With the continuous addition of kit modules and vanity pets along with the limited maxed out Bank and Inventory space, there is a DIRE NEED to have separate spaces for both kit modules and vanity pets. Most players utilize the Inventory space for gear and consumables they switch out between PvE runs and the Bank space for Summer/Winter gear, Commodities, and other items for storage. Over time, these spaces become filled with items that players refuse to recycle or sell due to their currency and time investments. Because of this, there becomes less space for new and abundant items that the player has yet to acquire. For this reason, I--along with other players--have suggested that tabs for the kit modules and vanity pets be added to the game. Developers, please consider adding this to the game shortly as we are running out of space for new content.
If tabs are not a viable option, one option I do have is to make Dilithium, Lobi, and Reputation store items such as the Kit Modules and Vanity Pets be Character Unlocks. Once a player purchases the item, it is unlocked so that the player can reacquire the item for FREE when the player deletes the item from his/her Bank or Inventory space. This mechanism is currently available in the game for consoles, hangar pets, and other special items. If this could be expanded to Kit Modules and Vanity Pets, it would definitely help eliminate the need to store these items that occupy precious space.
Again, I ask the Developers to please consider these options and implement them as soon as possible.
Thank you.

But kit modules? I can maybe see carrying around 5 or at most 10 alternate modules and those fit comfortably in main inventory. If you really want to collect 50 kit modules for a character they can go into your bank space.
I suppose Cryptic could sell "kit loadouts" for zen, but I wonder how many people would ever buy them?
Actually, I do collect all the kit modules for my Eng so that I can see how combinations work. The issue is that the kit modules cost Dilithium, and people do not usually want to part with items they spent Dilithium on. That's why I suggested the Character Bound Unlocks. For example, if you purchase a kit module from the Dilithium, that kit should be unlocked so that if you do delete it, you can reacquire it for free since it is already paid for. I would actually like to see this for the Summer and Winter gear as well as it is already done for the Frosty Boots.
As always I support this as well OP..well put and needed!
Still waiting to be able to use forum titles
The Bank has so many slots available, and the content and kits available for purchase exceeds the max amount of slots allowed in the Bank. That is why others and myself are asking for either a tab for both kits modules and vanity pets or a character bound unlock so that Bank space will not be so full that we cannot purchase newer content.
= ^.^ =
But there's nothing on the next update for it, or else I've missed it. You can peek if you want. Maybe there'll be something I missed?

Breen Cryogentic Torpedos (now with frozen pet warheads)!
You an easily acquire tons of free pets from New Romulus, Risa, and Q's Winter Event. These pets take up space, and only one can be active at a time. A pet tab could help alleviate the problem of pets flooding both Bank and Inventory space. Should someone want to activate their pet, they would just need to move that pet over to the Inventory tab. I would say that the max pet tab space needs to be the max amount of pets available in the game to ensure that players always have room their to store their pets.
As for kit modules, the Devlopers continue to add more of them to the game, and players are heavily reluctant to rid themselves of them since they either cost Dilithium or Zen (in the form of keys to open lockboxes and receive the lockbox kit modules). Although Bank space would be nice to use, there are enough kit modules in the game to clutter the Bank and Inventory spaces. For that reason, a kit modules tab is being requested. However, as I have mentioned, a character unlock for the kit modules would probably be best since you could reclaim the kit module if you delete it.
Kit modules you can buy your own slots for like everything else. Inventory limits exist for a reason.
Limits may exist for a reason, but they also hamper profit. If I can't own an item because of limited space, I would be less likely to spend real money for Zen, which is what Cryptic and PWE want from players, on items I have no space for. If space for these items are an issue on the coding or database side, the alternative would be to make those items a character unlock once purchased. Players now, and most likely forever, will not part ways with items they purchased via in-game currency or real money if they know the items will have to be repurchased. Cryptic continues to release new purchasable content that players want, but those players will continue to avoid such content because the lack of space. This issue needs to addressed. We know that the Developers are aware of the idea, which is why this thread is really a reminder to them that it is a NEED for the players. I do hope that this gets addressed ASAP because there are a lot of items I would like to collect.
You had me with your first post. When you brought up money in your argument is when I needed to say something.
My question is this, are you completely maxed out? 300 slots in your bank, 120 in your account bank and 400 inventory slots?
If someone comes on to the forums asking for additional bank space for only certain items to bypass having to purchase additional bank slots it just sounds like they are asking for more free stuff.
Just saying.

I would want one space to contains only items I put in it, or are moved automatically to my inventory from switching a loadout, and another space into which Items I pick up are automatically placed, along with items I specifically move to it.
Only items in the pickup space should be visible in the sell and recycle windows of merchants and the replicator.
With this I could happily carry what ever the heck I wanted with me, without inadvertently mixing those things with junk.
I'm thinking that'd it work a bit like the R/D tab, where in the only things that can go in it are strictly allotted to that tab. You can't put them into inventory for the most part. Same with a 'Pet's Tab'. They'd only go into that 'bag', if you will and not anywhere else, etc.
Still, I think non-combat pets should be strictly a part of the Tailor/ship yard, personally, and not part of my inventory except for those that actually do something. But that's just me.
I mean if a 'ball of light' was a non-combat pet in the game. Why would I want to run around with something that does absolutely nothing? But that's just my perspective.
Isn't there a vanity Romulan/Remen Bodyguard thingy somewhere? I'm not looking up as I'm trying to shoot something at the moment. but isn't it something to do with the tailor once it's unlocked? I'll check it later as it something to do with the Rom rep.
As for me, I have purchased all Bank and Inventory slots that are possible to acquire. That being said, my Inventory tends to be occupied with Ground Gear, Sets, and Items, along with a few space items like Call for Freighters and such. There are many Ground Sets in the game. That being said, I have limited my sets to about 6, which contain armor, shield, and weapon. These do occupy a lot of space, on top of ground weapons which I switch out during PvE and PvP runs. I do have 6 vanity pets in my Inventory at the moment as well.
My Bank space consists of Rep Items, such as Borg Nodes, Regular and Gamma Quadrant Commodities, additional Regens and Repair items, Ship Consoles from ships that I cannot reclaim (lockbox and lobi ships), vanity pets from the Summer/Winter events as well as from the Lobi store (just need 1 more cat to complete my collection), and the Summer/Winter gear...AND of course, all of the spec tree kit modules with all the available Eng modules.
I still haven't acquired everything I wanted, and as you can see, should I do so, there would be no space left. This is why I have made the suggestion and supported the idea of additional tabs specific to kit modules and vanity pets. I am open to the idea of reclaims for the kit modules and other items purchased from the Dilithium and Lobi stores since that might be the easier option on the Developers if space on the database is an issue.
Also, I am maxed out on BOFF, DOFF, and Starship slots, which I hope will be expanded in the near future as well.
I have bought the romulan entourage and it is a chit similar to the nimbus pirate call. You activate it and have an escort of romulans or remans for a while. It has only so many charges then you need to buy it again.
The reinforcements are another beam in security guards to fight for you and are much like Horta cosmetic pet, horta combat pet.
Neither use the tailor.

In addition for my main character I'd like a 'Don't sell' tab. It could double for the amount of Kit Modules I might want to keep.
Say just a few slots to start (even as low as two) and then ZEN to expand.
I really do think fleet storage should be expanded too as the list of additional items added to the game since the fleet bank came out is huge.
"If this will be our end, then I will have them make SUCH an end as to be worthy of rememberance! Out of torpedos you say?! Find me the ferengi!".
I wouldn't worry about the Kits, except now we can craft them. Before, you kept the one or two you'd use and trash the rest once you unlocked the corresponding tailor item by getting the kit. Get the kit, unlocking the tailor piece, then toss the kit. Now it'll all work different with crafted kits taking up space.
Create a new tab for kits, another for pets. Start with 10 slots each, further upgrade the size by spending Zen in the store.
For immediate use items like environmental suits and alternate weapons/armor/shields as well as space for stuff picked up along the way, I use the character inventories.
For Bound To Character items that aren't immediate use or specialty items for duty officer mission (such as jevonite or medical supplies), I have my personal banks.
For items I'm transferring between characters or for things I may have immediate use for (just not at the moment), I have the account bank.
For stockpiled items such as currency, ship packs, fleet modules, weapons packs, kit modules, DOFF packs, lockboxes, etc., I have created extra characters whom I use to store these items and keep them out of my account bank and regular characters' storages.
Is it more complex to deal with? Sure. However, it is more than made up for by the lack of worry over character storage capabilities.
Things I want in STO:
1) More character customization options such as more clothing options, letting the toon complexion affect the entire body, not just the head. Also a true RGB color picker applied to all costume and appearance options, which would allow for true appearance customization and homogenous colors instead of "this same exact color looks vastly different on two different pieces."
2) Bridge customization, not bridge packs. Let us pick a general layout and adjust the color palette, console appearance, and chair types, as well as more ready room layout options.
3) Customizable ground weapons, i.e. The aesthetic look of phaser dual pistols but they shoot antiproton bolts. For obvious reasons this would only apply to standard ground weapons.
4) For the love of Q please revamp Plasma Ground Weapons. They look like demented Supersoakers right now.
5) True Vanity Impulse and Deflector effects similar to Vanity Shields.
6) A greater payout for hitting T6 Reputations. Currently it takes more time and resources to get from T5 to T6 than it does to get from nothing to T5. Make that grind really pay out at the end.
7) Mirrorverse Refugee event similar to AoY/Delta/Gamma, complete with new Mirrorverse recruits for all factions.
8) Independent Faction, because yo ho yo ho a pirate's life for me!
