Greetings, Admirals!
Welcome to Episodes 91-95 of Let's Play Star Trek Online - Winters Fed Walkthrough.
This series is a complete walkthrough of every aspect of the game - Story Missions, Reputations, DOFFing, Admiralty, BOFFS, Research and Development, Fleets, Crafting and End-Game Content etc. Every player, new and veteran, will find them a valuable source of information, tips and tricks. You may even learn something new! This could be anything from an accolade to a system that you didn’t fully understand or helpful hints on earning in game currencies like Energy Credits or Dilithium.
There will be a brand new episode released every Monday through Friday.
In Todays Episodes:
In this episode we play the story mission "Surface Tension". At the start of this episode we briefly talk about an event that comes around pretty regularly called a R&D Event. The mission starts off with a bit of running from A to B etc and being diplomatic. It then moves into space with some pretty big space combat. once finished with space combat it then changes to ground combat. Finally it returns to space combat and then we have some cut scenes before the end of the mission.
In this episode we play the story mission "Terminal Expanse". We start off this episode by very quickly taking a look at the "Winter Store". The reason for this is to show us how to get the 4th piece of the Breen set. Once we are done with that we then proceed on with the start of the mission. The mission starts off with some space combat and then moves on board a ship. While on the ship we help put out some fires and conduct repairs. We then beam into a sphere for some ground combat. Finally we return to our ship for another round of space combat.
In this episode we play the story mission "Mindscape". Before we get to that though we have to do the mission "Escalation" which is basically, go to x location and talk to a NPC. After a brief cut scene we then get stuck into the mission. This mission is pretty cool as it features a number of the cast from Star Trek: Voyager. For example it features The Doctor, Admiral Tuvok, Ensign Harry Kim and Seven of Nine. The mission overall has a nice mix of space and ground combat but focuses a little more on the ground side of things. I do want to point out that there is one or two accolades in this mission and they are shown in this episode.
In this episode we play the story mission "Reunion". This mission features voice over from a number of cast members of Star Trek: Voyager. Specifically Admiral Tuvok and Nelix. The mission it self is a nice break from the normal pew, pew but it does have some space combat it focuses a little more on the ground side of things and doing maintenance or sciencey stuff.
In this episode we start playing the story mission "Friends in Unlikely Places" This mission is a little different compared to all other story mission we have come across up to this point in that it requires us to do a number of "Patrol" mission located in the Delta Quadrant in order to complete the mission. The first of these patrols we do is the "Jarleth System Patrol".
