Toggle to disable Power/Ability graphics?

It would be a great thing to be able to toggle and disable all the wizardy graphics for Powers and Abilities so we could actually see our ships/characters. Currently we are being drowned out graphically to the point where it just looks like a jumbled Picasso on-screen!

This would also benefit users who have low-end systems too!

    Folks have been asking for something like this for a LOOOONG time, myself included. Nothing has come of it yet, and in fact we got Lighting 2.0.

    It doesn't seem like they want to make it any "easier" on those of us who actually want to see our own, and others, ships.
