None of those are Al Rivera's position, Lead Designer, so wouldn't be signed by him, and can't be taken as a sign that he has left or switched positions.
This is an MMO, not a Star Trek episode simulator. That would make for a terrible game.
I never understood why so much hate is directed towards the poor guy. I think it's unfair it isn't like he's the CEO of Cryptic/PWE or that he magically dictates which content the majority of players want. His job is to make the company money and apparently he's pretty good at it...

1) Dinosaurs with freaking lasers on their heads
2) Delta Rising is the best expansion ever and players love it
Enough said. I was glad when Salami got to steer this game back in the right direction.
It's science fiction anything goes, Even slightly rediculous things like dinos with lasers.
Id argue Delta Rising was a neccesary evil that became far less egregious over time since they rolled back a lot of the more disliked additions... But i can see your point.

I have no hate toward him or another, because I know they do this to give us a good free game and they do a great job, so that's not why I ask it, I mean Al Rivera seems a ok guy he is just doing his job I'm not hating him for that...

I was redding the post on Season 12 and I saw a new name as lead Designer. ... Did Al Rivera quit ??
Which blog exactly were you reading? There are several for Season 12.
On Facebook click the link there ...
The blog linked there at the top is the General Announcement blog, which was posted by our new Community Rep, Ambassador Kael, but not signed by anybody.

1) Dinosaurs with freaking lasers on their heads
And is that actually universally hated? I though the Dyson Sphere was cool, and even if I am still not really a big Ground Combat fan, the Ground Combat Zone was a fantastic idea.
2) Delta Rising is the best expansion ever and players love it
It's pretty good, considering how many people fly Tier 6 ships and try to max their specializations and collect the optimal combination of starship mastery traits. And the Vaadwaur were fantastic enemies, both in storytelling and game mechanics.
The most important counter point:
6 year anniversary and no sign of slowing down. And not only that, they managed to deliver the game on two additinal platforms, growing their player base and probably their revenue streams.
Even if vocal posters on the forum are happy to denigrate the game, for some reason they are still around, and so are many other players, and the game seems to be doing well and improving and growing. If he was really doing a bad job, this game would be downsizing or being closed, or he'd have long been fired.
Star Trek Online Advancement: You start with lowbie gear, you end with Lobi gear.
I never understood why so much hate is directed towards the poor guy.
For me it was the delta rising fiasco and his comment "Delta rising is the best expansion ever , and the players love it" ignoring all the forum fires that was going on because of delta rising.
After that i havent taken gekko credible at anything period.
Don't forget the time Geko referred to the players as, 'spoiled 12 year olds' or something similar. Then, there are many comments posted here where someone suggests something for the game and a Dev replies with,
"No. We can't do that. Because Geko hates fill-in-the-blank."
Saw Geko in Vegas on stage. Worst case of Lead Singer Disease I've ever seen.
Makes Vince Neal of Motley Crewe look downright humble.
With the DOff system and Admiralty Cards, Geko has successfully recreated an electronic version of Magic: the Gathering.
Only in space. With ships. So it isn't the same. It's different.
A six year old boy and his starship. Living the dream.
I don't care for the man because of his excessive greed, starting with Delta Rising. I do care for the man because of his excessive greed, as that -- the gnashing of my teeth desite -- is what has kept the game viable for so long.
wish a moderator or dev would comment on this subject so we knew for sure
Pft... If we expect a moderator to respond to every little unsubstantiated rumor, they'd need to make it a dedicated position.

We'll also remove Earth and Humans from the game. They've been the centre of everything for way too long
with our luck he got promoted to have even more control over the game's direction

I think it was something like 14 year old min maxers.
