Does ARC return missing items?

I put a ticket in and am waiting for a response for a fleet tac locater console that I purchased and upgraded to Mk xiv. I logged off right after I upgraded it and put it in my inventory. I remember exactly where I put it, and the slot was empty when I logged back in a few hours later. My fleet credits and dilithium were still gone.

So do they replace these things or should I get a new one?

ARC is just a tool (and feel free to take that in all possible meanings of the term, especially the negative ones). You probably mean Cryptic.

Anyway, in all my years in STO I've never actually lost something. Sometimes, though, when discharging/drydocking ships, etc., an item can appear to be in limbo, as it were: reported as 'slotted on another' ship, but not really there. Usually making the ship active which reports that, makes the item magically reappear again. Only happened to me last week, actually, when my Epic Tachyo looked to be gone. Was ready to be real upset with Cryptic, but managed to retrieve it, after all.

So, carefully check all your ships first, and see whether it's per chance reported as being on another ship. And then proceed as outlined.

Check the upgrade system, you might have forgotten to claim it after upgrading. Also check your ship, your bank, your account bank, and the under cushions of your couch

It's probably still in the upgrade slot.

I randomly lost a plamonic leech when I warped in to do a Borg Red Alert. I got a notice saying that an item was missing and couldn't be found.

After submitting a ticket and waiting, I happened to be going through the inventory of my other ships - and voila, I found it slotted on a random ship.

And, to clarify, like I said, even when it's reported as 'slotted on another ship', when it isn't (and thus in limbo somewhere), activating the ship that reports the 'other' location, usually retrieves it from the void again.

Lately I've noticed my traits are getting wiped and I have to re-assign those. Also the Arc client recently refused to start for me and crashed quite nicely on launch. I had to uninstall it and reinstall to get it working again after it updated. I wouldn't rely on it much for anything other then being there when you want to claim a "requires arc" prize cause it's buggy as heck. I won't even go in to how I reassigned the bind key for the overlay off shift and yet it still pops up interrupting the game at the worst possible moments when I go for a shift ability.

Have you checked your overflow bag? Sometimes things will slip into it unnoticed

yeah I checked everywhere, every tac slot of every ship the bank my inventory. The only place I didnt check was my upgrade slot and there it was... didn't even think of that, thanks.
