Those would be the T6 versions of the old Tal Shiar lockbox prize and the matching Lobi ship.
Most likely they were tossed onto Tribble to make sure they worked for use on Console to give them the Tal Shiar box in a couple months and then toss them into the PC Infinity box / lobi store just like the other T5 -> T6 deals that have happened.
Ah so I guess we now know what lockbox ships are getting T6'd next then. I'm thinking next infinity box around the end of Jan start of Feb, in line with the anniversary.

I was honestly hoping for the temporal box next on console so I could get a T6 Wells and Mobius on my main on PC. I mean I'm not sad seeing these two at T6 after this long (one of my alts will enjoy getting a T6 version of the current Khnial and Llaihr to complete the "Elachi/Tal Shiar" setup) but I'd much rather finally get my hands on a Temporal seating version of the Wells.
I really don't get why these are cross-faction, and not Romulan faction only. They should also turn that 'borg salvaged' warp core into a singularity core with singularity abilities, and add a battle cloak and I.R.W. prefix option.
Tal Shiar is Romulan, they aren't a different species just cause Cryptic introduced republicans, and we have a Romulan faction. T'Laru comes with an I.R.W. option, is faction-specific, and Imperials (Romulans) have their Fed-Section31 equivalent, the Tal'Shiar.
This makes no more sense than giving Klingons and Romulans access to the Kelvin Intel Dreadnought, because, after all, *spoiler alert* wasn't it Khan's augments and S31 who built it, in secret, and aren't augments (or whatever they're called) genetically perfected but still fully human, and therefore by this logic (or lack thereof) not 'truly' a UFP or SF ship and so fair game for xfaction?

The Consoles actually recently got the T6 Elachi ships released, so I think if anything is coming to the Infinity box, it's those before the Tal Shiar ships.
Tal Shiar is Romulan, they aren't a different species just cause Cryptic introduced republicans, and we have a Romulan faction.
Being one race genetically doesn't make them one big mono-culture (thank God). The Tal Shiar and the player Romulan faction -- the Republic -- are the most bitter of enemies.
Now, I fly my Tal Shiar ships on a Romulan captain, but there's no reason to lock them to just the green-side. And the don't have singularity cores because they use a Borg-derived drivetrain. Thankfully, since my Llaihr runs a the ancient core and omni AP... which doesn't have a singularity option in the mission rewards table.
We already have T7, effectively. If you think the earliest T6's in the zeni-store and most recent promo!/lock box/lobi offerings are actually on par... you're not reading the fine print.
Tal Shiar addapted destroyer "Llaihr" is THE ship of the game for me. Its what lured me back after 5 years. Been waiting with eager anticipation since they started updating old T5lock box ships for its turn to arrive.
I have a little shrine I PRAY TO that it gets some pilot seating. And by pray, I mean ping @Borticuscryptic occasionally .
The new model is a -bit- different. A little more bulbous in the nose and with much longer overhead spars. There's also some fine detailing in the spurs and fins that seems to have been removed. (detailing I specifically expected to be almost impossible to reproduce in a physical 3D model... hmmm). I'm momentarily shocked and hope the option to apply the old skin to the new stats will be available if a captain has both of them, but overall I'm sure I will adapt and come to love it. Love it very much .
Damn, good times. I love the Elachi ships as well as the Tal Shiar Adapted Destroyer. Gonna have to save up.
Temporal Destroyer will be nice when that comes along, T6 Narcine as well if that comes along.
Hmm. I've owned dozens of different lobi and lock box ships, most of them get spacedocked fairly quickly. The Narcine is actually the only exception, the only special ship besides regular FED C-store ones I've kept using throughout the years.
I hope that those who own the T5 version will get a nice bonus. But I doubt it. Which is a shame, considering how expensive these ships are and how much money is made off of them.
They should also turn that 'borg salvaged' warp core into a singularity core with singularity abilities, and add a battle cloak and I.R.W. prefix option.

My guess as to why it was made cross-faction is the lack of any other "grand prize" ship ala the temporal ones. Since they only had the two and there wasn't really another look to use for a Fed or Klingon version they just made them both cross faction and tossed one in the lockbox and one in the Lobi store. I will say that they should have been dual Warp/Singularity ships though. Probably some technical limitation though that a ship can't have both a "Warp Core" tag and a "Singularity" tag so they had to pick.
The battle crab is one of the most overpowered ships no one uses. A T6 version is going to be pretty crazy.
Truth. It's already probably the best platform there is for the protonic kool-aid/drain strategy. I built my Elachi turret/cannon proc-zilla abomination on one and it's an abomination . Add specialist seating and an additional ability slot? Don't mind if I do...
I don't think there will be a second Tal Shiar lockbox on PC. There will probably be a new one on the consoles containing these ships, and eventually they will be released with the Infinity Lockbox on PC.
I was always interested in that D'Deridex based Adapted ship, but since it was still Tier 5, I decided against acquiring one. Looks like the Khlinae might be exactly what I wanted.

If you want one and only one of the new ships, getting the other T5 is the cheapest way to complete the set bonus. Which does not suck.
Its going to become a pair of no longer available admiralty cards, and unlike many "bonus when alone" ships, both of them are well balanced, highly capable ships when used solo. Those are GOOD cards to have, especially for the factions that lack solid all arounders with meaningful science points...
Purely in my headcanon: having the T5 and T6 on the same captain might allow you to use the skin interchangeably.
Simple economics says the supply of the T5s is about to start drying up. Anyone who likes the old skins will be at the mercy of those who horde them now. Its an investment.
the T5 Tal Shiar Battlecruiser's been low supply for a while now, sitting at 1 still at a price that'll never sell for a 800 lobi ship. Destroyer's touched on 50M and still at 60M with plenty of supply left - thanks to boxit no doubt. With so few views on these forum threads I doubt it makes any impact. If anything, knowledge of T6 Tal Shiar should have lowered prices, but somehow it doesn't, just like with the T6 JHDC where I panic-sold the T5 only to still see them gaining in price.
The T6s come with the T5U's skins/kitbash option automatically, don't they now? The T5s are basically an overpriced admiralty card with a non-enhanced (no passive bonus) gimmicky console, for a set bonus that's always questionable since R&D/fleet/lockbox/lobi console passives will always outclass whatever slot those consoles use up with very few exceptions (valdore console, plasmonic leech-KDF, etc.).

More likely they are probably from something that has yet to be used in the game.

No one ever wants to hear T7 mentioned.

Actually, they don't pre-date it. I thought the same thing but they came out with the expansion itself. "The Tal Shiar Lock Box will become available alongside the launch of Legacy of Romulus, starting tomorrow, May 21st, 2013 at approximately 10:00am PDT." http://www.arcgames.com/en/games/star-trek-online/news/detail/1011300-legacy-of-romulus-dev-blog-_21
