Which Ship?

Over Christmas I bought the 31st Century pack. Some nice ships, but they do seem somewhat lacking compared to what I have.

This is the situation. I have a Wells class science ship that I love and don't see the advantage of the 31st Century Ship. Am I right?

I have a Fed Dreadnought Cruiser (Galaxy X). I am in three minds on this. I either keep it. I upgrade to the 31st Century Dreadnought OR I have just got a T5 Ship pack that contains the Ferengi Marauder, Tholian Orb Weaver, Temporal Science Vessel, Tal Shiar Destroyer, Elachi Escort, Voth Bastion, Hirogen Escort, Undine Bio Warship or the Xindi Dreadnought Carrier.

Any advice will be gratefully received.

xindi...it looks better than that monstrosity that is the galaxy.

31st Century pack are tier 6 ships whereas wells and fed dreadnought are tier 5 ships. Tier 6 ships have better hull, console slot and starship mastery. So it always better to use a tier 6 ship. Only use a lower tier ship if you really like the looks.

If comparing the eternal temporal to wells, the temporal have better hull, more console slot, molecular reconstruction and starship mastery. You have to compare the same type of ships eg science in different tiers.

I suggest you try all the 31st century ship to see what ships suit your playstyle, then you know you prefer a cruiser, escort or science. Then it will help narrow down to the ships you want to use.

So...Im a Wells pilot who happens to own the 31c pack.
Comparing the Eternal to the Wells with regards to Hull is they are even @ (T5U vs T6) with the Eternal havinga slightly higher shield mod (1.45 vs 1.47) lower inertia and turn. Both have 11 Console Slots.
The Eternal is Bigger and slower handling compared to the Wells but gains a hangar pet.

Right now the biggest difference is the Specialized Seating (Mostly due to Ship mastery being usable on anyship) and the Specialty gimic (Pilot maneuvers, molecular reconstruction, Intel bleh) ...Which Im sure when the Wells gets a T6 upgrade she will probably a Temporal Hybrid.

For your T5 ship pack..most of those have a free upgrade token for t5u so,Hull shields,consoles are not going to be much if any different should a T6 variant become common.Kinda depends on your playstyle but I have not had any trouble doing 80-100k with the Chronos in ISA unless theres somthing about one of those t5's you really like...maybe set bonus..

Temporal abilities are all shield pen Physical damage. If you like using Sci magic in non science Boff seats then the 31c ships are gonna be fun...Now I only fly the Wells on my Main..I use the Eternal Class or the Scryer on my Sci toon (different combat focus) and a DSD/Research Sci on my Eng Romulan..

The Wells character is, of course, science.

The Galaxy X is flown by an engineer. I am thinking about either the 31st Century Dreadnought or the Xindi ship.

The Wells is a very potent little ship even though it's old and only T5U at most. And even if you didn't have the prize pack it's only around 60M these days which is a real bargain for such a good ship.

When it goes T6 it should be even better.

Should I use the Xindi ship or carry on with my Galaxy X?
