Arc Overlay, How to permanently remove

How do I stop this Arc Overlay from appearing in game? It has managed to give itself the Keybind of Shift+s which means that it is ALWAYS appearing in game. I altered the supposed keybind to ALT+i (to ensure no more popups) but still, shift+s makes it popup, making gameplay impossible. So now I want it gone, removed, deleted. How do I go about this?

Go into the game files and find StarTrekOnline.exe. Shortcut that to your desktop. You can launch the game from there without having to load Arc.

If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.

The most obvious solution would simply be to not use Alt-S for anything yourself. :)

And yes, you can start the .exe manually (and this is necessarily so, because the game needs to be able to get started by STEAM too).

On your Arc Client, click the cogwheel in the upper right hand corner. Go to streaming beta and assign a hotkey you never use for the Shift-S shortcut.

Seriously, who thought of using a CAPITAL S (Shift-S) as a legitimate shortcut for anything? This should never have made it past testing.

Guess I misread the OP. Yeah, *shift*-S is kinda daft. Or shift-any-letter-of-the-alphabet, for that matter.
