3D-printed starships question

So with Eucl3D shut down now....what's going to happen to the promise of having our in-game ships custom-printed? Could your playerbase get an official statement please Cryptic?

They did give one! Why the hostile request!?
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.

EDIT: I did eventually find it, its location on the forum is not at all obvious....requiring one to locate a topic hopelessly buried from three months ago, using the correct keywords to find. Not at all easy to locate.

Second...I don't think at all that my request was hostile. I used polite terminology and was operating with the information that I had at the time this thread was opened.

Third, I don't frequent the forums, because I try to avoid excessive amounts of salt.

Could a moderator please shut down my thread, as my original question has been answered? Ladies and germs, virus's of all killing capacities, thank you for your time .

I think I just realized that the same deal for Simple Planes ain't gonna happen now. Your post brought that into the foreground, so it wasn't a complete waste. Glad you mentioned it, OP.

My apologies too! We get alot of 'ragers' demanding 'official' responses from Cryptic.

My proposal would be for Cryptic to simply offer a C-Store purchase "download digital model of this ship in format X". So everybody could do so themselves.
    I'd pay for that.

I would like to address some rumors that have been floating around about the status of Eucl3d, our ship printing partner, and 3D printed ships for Star Trek Online. We were very sad to learn that Eucl3d will be shutting their doors at the end of 2016. Since we won’t have a physical manufacturer for our ships, this means that Star Trek Online will be unable to continue with its 3D ship printing initiative at this time. I apologize for announcing such an exciting new program for Star Trek Online, only to have it pulled away 3 short months later. The entire development team has been looking forward to getting their ships printed just as much as many of you in the community, and having this program end before it was able to truly spin up is very unfortunate. 3D ship printing has been a feature we’ve wanted to get into the game for years, and we will continue to keep an eye out for opportunities to bring it to the game in the future.

That's the one. I'm not the only who was more than a little bemused at people thinking Cryptic was at fault for this.

There would probably be copyright reasons they don't do that.
