Hi all,
I'm playing the PS4 version of STO and enjoy the game really a lot. But: there are some things in the game and the official web pages that leave me a little puzzled.
The most recent thing: we currently have an item upgrade weekend so I spent a lot of it on upgrading most of my preferred stuff. Most of it worked out fine, but when upgrading a singularity core I noticed that the warp factor did not increase; so after upgrading it to mark XII (from mark X) it now has a lower warpfactor than a mark XI (dropped as mark XI). Is that a bug or for some reason working as intended?
And if it is a bug, where do I report it properly? The link in this forum saying "no bug reporting here" takes me to the overview page of the forums. I encountered a lot of bugs especially in the detail works by now and would really like to report them to make the game better.
Second thing that leaves me a little bit under-informed is upcoming/planned releases or schedule. Is there a page somewhere that states which parts of the pc version will make it next to console and when? I'm really waiting for Agents of Yesterday and the Foundry and would like to check out if or for when those features are planned to come to the PS4 version.
And the biggest bugger: the trophies, or better: one of them. Some of the accolades in the console version have been tied to grant trophies (PS4) or achievements (XBone) - same thing, just different names - and I solved all but three already. Of two of the missing ones - New Romulus Lore and 30 Spec points in one specialisation - I already know pretty well what to do, it's a simple grind. The last one however leaves me puzzled. It's called "Shadow of the Solonae" and the description says "Discover all the Solanae Dyson Sphere lore". So I looked up all lore accolades and did them - to no avail. Does anyone of the PC vets have an idea, maybe have an accolade completed that's called "Shadow of the Solonae" and knows what to do?
And speaking of accolades - do accolade points do anything in the PC version? Just ascking because my main is close to 5000 accolade points currently.
Thx in advance for any useful answers!!!

There is no public release schedule for the AoY stuff as far as I know, same for the Foundry but I would think it'll be sometime next year.
The Shadow of the Solonae achievement/Trophy is glitched & has been reported by lots of people.
Same thing happened with a couple of achievements when Neverwinter came out on xbox One but they got sorted eventually so no reason to think this will be any different.
Cryptic never ever give a release schedule, and I mean never. It's not to keep players in the dark however. As they are only a small team, they only ever say 'coming soon' unless they give a definitive date for a major release. The main reason is, if they do give a date and then have to delay it, say they've found a major issue, the forum will blaze. Some people are extremely unforgiving if something isn't out at a specified time. Heck, they rage if maintenance goes over by more than 1 minute (and I'm not kidding!). So, when they say 'coming soon', that's all you will get from them, and asking in the forums won't get you an answer as players won't know what the company hasn't told them...lol. Generally for PC, a release day will usually be a Tuesday (Installations on Tuesday's is an old Star Trek Generations nod).
Some Accolades in the PC version give situational buffs, such as +damage vs species.
It's probably fair to say that Cryptic is by no means the only one who does this either. Once you move into a digital distribution, developers have the flexibility to move release dates around since it's the physical supply chain that poses the greatest constraint on business. So, even large studios will publicly hold to a general release window on DLC/seasons/expansions (ex. "early spring") until they get close enough to be confident about a date.
Notable missions: Apex [AEI], Gemini [SSF], Trident [AEI], Evolution's Smile [SSF], Transcendence
Looking for something new to play? I've started building Foundry missions again in visual novel form!
Ok, no date then. Still, a "what's next" would be nice. Is that listed anywhere?
nope, well they probably have a whiteboard or something some where but we do not.
if I stop posting it doesn't make you right it. just means I don't have enough rum to continue interacting with you.
Sometimes they do give hints on their podcasts. However, again this is subject to conditions also. The major hurdle beside programming is having content approved by CBS. Cryptic have said in the past they like to plan 12 months ahead, but the furthest we will get is mostly likely 2 months notice of a major release. Episodic release is 1 week max. You as a console player have the benefit of know what's coming as it's already out on PC. The PC has a 6 month lead time on the console, so that's your 'notice period'.
The generally accepted definition of "noob" generally implies that the person doesn't know enough to know they need to ask questions. This thread automatically eliminates the OP, and their questions, from this category.
Also, as far as a release schedule goes, look to what has come out on PC. That's generally going to be what's coming next on Console. But yeah, no dates...
