Not nearly low "enough" my children. Ill pop my cork once it gets under 200. When i first joined, back when you were in diapers mind you, it was 138 dil per zen.

Any chance we can get these as account wide? For the amount I just paid for them in dil and zen :P It would be nice. They cost a damn sight more than the other T5 ships.

    Never the less.

this is my in game mail to Cryptic:

Dear Cryptic I must give you protest unfortunately I fell like cheated that I am cheated by you Yesterday I opened 80 of Phoenix box and don’t get any ultra rare or epic reward token.

My option is that when you introduce something like this you must write which is chances to get any of rarity rewards!!!! Otherwise you fool people. In lottery People knows that chances for win is 1:1.000.000 but there we don't know which is our chances for win any of rarity token.

Will be nice if you add options to Exchange 100 uncommon Phoenix token for ultra rare or 200 for epic token.

I hope that you don’t be angry because I been honest with you.

Is this cryptics design choice or PerfectWorlds? PerfectWorld have some of the most HORRENDOUS business ethics I've ever seen.

Never to mention the hilarity of watching them try to host a DoTA tournament :D

Thanks, you should probably update the rewards list to reflect that.

My luck with this is mostly 5 uncommons... 2 rares & 1 very rare. Probably will spend up to 400k dil... maybe less, still deciding if the emotes or tribbles are worth it. AOY could use the DOs. But wont pull the trigger till last day. Gonna see how the free boxes turn out.

btw is this right for RARE: "Crystalline Shard – Space Vanity Pet" - Pet?

138? According to my exchange log that was... March/April 2014. Not too long ago.

Biggest question I have is will we need keys to open them?

No. Any box you have is free to open. However, these boxes to not drop like lockboxes do; and must be acquired from the dilithium store or from the once per day mission.

Where can the once per day mission be found?

I opened 130 and got my bugship, woohoo!

These cost 1/10 as much as a lock box key so people complaining about opening 40 and not getting a T6 ship token are ... misguided. Lock box odds are 1 in 250 for their version of Epic.

You won't hear complaint from me. I haven't managed to get higher than Very Rare so far, but I wasn't expecting otherwise. I'm really pleased with the effect on the Dil Exchange. You can bet I'll be farming Dil diligently on all my alts this week/weekend.

So now we know why they made Mariah Kilara Marr bind to Character on pick up a few weeks ago in a patch. She was going to be made available again through the Phoenix Prize Pack. Having a bound and an unbound version would have been a real PITA for them.

People were complaining about them worrying about making her bound after all this time. Here is why.

Maybe I missed this somewhere but how long will the store for these be around? IE: Do we need to cash them all in by the 8th or will the vendor be around so we can cash them in later?

I did notice if you click on the reward tokens it brings up the store - so maybe you can use them whenever, even after the promo?

A fleetmate of mine opened up 140 boxes and did not get a single UR / EP
Only aroudn 10 VRs and rest UC / R

Guess the chances of getting a ship is alot lower than a lockbox...

So I've just started cashing in (as I'll be without internet for the rest of the promotion time ...SO....sad). I really want to thank Arc/Pw/STO for this - this promotion is fantastic! Sure I've opened up WAY more boxes than I should. But the architecture of the prize structure and the way you can spend the lowest value on more boxes and other universal things we can use is fantastic! NOTHING is going to waste (especially with the tech upgrades).

PLEASE apply this structure to lockboxes in some way. They would be SO much more attractive to buy! The same would also be great for Charge Rewards!

In the meantime - thank you. This is simply Awesome!

You have one week (5 days now) to buy packs and get free packs.

The packs themselves can be opened later (they never expire), but there is no point in waiting.

The tokens work like lobi crystals, you can get to the store by right-clicking on one. This will work forever so you can hang on to tokens to give to new characters that you create in the future, or to give a ship to a character that is currently too low level to use it.

(The purcharses you make are character bound so do not use the tokens on character A to give to character B later. Save the tokens instead and have character B make the purchase himself by using the token.)

Lockbox is 1 in 250 to get an Epic equivalent. And these boxes cost 1/10 as much as a lockbox key.

I opened 212 and got 2 x UR but no Epic.

I've done around 400ish now and got 2 epics, 4 UR and the rest useless.

Out of curiosity, can the tokens be used after the event ends? Or do I need to claim all the ships right now?

-Edit- Just got 70 more and got zip.

Wish the odds on these were published.. Ive opened over 100 and Very rare isnt rare at all.. No ultra rare no epic (I want the nandi) just another terrible grab your cash and give you absolutely nothing gamble box eh?

EDIT: now officialy over 200 of these opened, not one VR or Epic token = less than 0.05% chance to get anything good "lovely fair fun and balanced" Waste of cash, effort, time and currency.

Funny!! This is pretty funny, ALL boxes, lock boxes, R&D boxes, DO boxes, and these "prize" boxes are nothing but money sinks, always have been. For those opening a multitude of boxes, hoping to get something specific, that you doin't already have, your best bet is to trade your tokens up in quality until you can get the token rarity you need to buy whatever it is that you absolutely must have. From the sounds of it, so far, many of you could have done that already and bought everything you wanted.

Actually there is no "trading up". You can only trade down. Also, this particular box by design discourages paying cash to win. The more people do so, the farther down they're driving the Dilithium exchange. It's beautiful to see, really. I only wish I had been as lucky as a friend of mine who had recently cashed in a pile of Zen for Dilithium. Right now he could double his original Zen.

Someone didn't do their homework about this specific prize pack.

    - Tokens can't be traded up
    - All rewards are character bind on pickup
    - The "consolation prize" level includes a 51,200 point tech upgrade that uses no dil. So it's equivalent to 4 superior tech upgrades, which cost about 600K and require 4,300 dil. So you come out 300 dil and 600K ahead in buying these.

They're only a bad deal if you have a single captain (no alts), all gear is already fully upgraded, you never plan to create any new characters, and you never plan to get any new gear.
