It pains me, but I'm probably going to third the motion. Unless those event store gauntlets change the payout dramatically, rewards are too low.

On the other hand, when and if I'll get bored of it, it wouldn't be a big deal.
(/back to punching ice as soon as the server comes up...)

Yeah, I have the top end gauntlet, and I don't see any great reward differences. It's a fun event, but the reward/time ratio is a bit off, IMO. Maybe if the Ornament Fragments could be turned in for more than one random Holiday Decoration. First time I turned some in, I was so very underwhelmed.

I'd also like to point out, I feel like this is the first time I think they've given player toons a real voice, and it's a bit shocking to find I grunt like a Klingon.

I did it once, and wasn't excited. And the fragments are just pointless. I'll probably keep doing it as something to do between pie eating contests (mmm pie) and rescuing the gingerbread villagers.

Scream the target makes when attacked by Elachi facehugger drone (and the Epic fish) was the first, I think.

Visually, at least, the event is a hoot! I think the serpent is a bit OP, knocking hapless fisher captains into the next county if they are too close. The rewards are a bit on the light side compared to the climax of the old snowball fight, but Cryptic will likely change this if the metrics are too low (not enough fragments awarded would indicate disinterest).

Sure Footed, available to all species, is your best friend for this event. You crouch and knocks have no more power over you.

It's BORING as heck and not as fun as the Snowman Fight at the lake. Never thought fishing considered a winter event ​​

As far as rewards go, we just did 4 of the bosses and caught 300+ fish, I got 5 incense, 4 ornaments, 3 earmuffs, 2 candles, 2 each of the uncommon items and 17 fragments, that's more than double what I would have gotten from the Overlord last year, that's assuming I got to the lake before the spawn campers slaughtered it, as then I wouldn't gotten anything.

If you're good (and lucky), you can take out the overlord 2-3 times per run, though, by instance hopping.

I found the ice fisting activity to be more fun than expected.
