T6 Escort recommendation?

Hi guys/gals,

I'm back to the game after a while and could use some recommendations for T6 escorts? Which ones are with good starship traits? I just love to blow up things, get in and get out, hit and run. Thanks!

    PC or console?

I have Valiant, so i endorse that. The pilot ships seem like they set the standard for escorts, and get rave reviews. I also have one on my rom and its good.

The Pilot Ships for the factions. They have set the Gold Standard of Escorts since their introduction. Unmatched combination of speed, mobility, inertia rating, 5 fwd weapon slots, flexibility, survivability.

    1. The only Escort, Raider anywhere that is close to the Pilot Ships in handling is the T5U-only Risan Corvette. Nothing else is close.

    2. 5/2 weapons layout and not the old 4/3 Escort layout. More heavy firepower.

    3. Access to one of the most powerful specialization gimmicks in the game, "Pilot Maneuvers." Using this gives you a very short burst of speed. It can get you out of trouble from a bad position extremely well. Also, during this very brief burst of speed, you are immune to damage. Combine this fact that it has a short recharge of about 6 seconds, this is far and away one of the best built-in ship gimmicks in the game.

    4. Pilot Ships are available to all factions with their own specific ones. They come in a TAC, SCI, or ENG oriented version. The BOFF and Console layouts cater to that. Regardless, they are all 5 TAC Console ships.

Wow, couldn't imagine a better answer than that. Thanks very much! I will go for one of the Pilot ships.

The Valiant and the Hestia are both good choices

Interesting thing though, that for all the rave reviews pilot ships get, I don't see them in game all that often... Maybe they're simply more difficult to spot than the bigger ones...

Anyway, to be fair, any T6 escort can deal LOTS of damage. If you're after C-store ones ones with good traits, I'd say Phantom, pilot ships (all of them), temporal raider (it's also cross-faction.) roughly in that order.

Individually or as a part of their bundles/packs depending on your RL budget and/or dil grinding skills (BTW, dil rate is very stable and very high right now, you'll need LOTS of dil for bundles.)
