Provisioning of K13.

I do appreciate there are time gates on many things, but provisioning needs looking at again.
The wait for K13 Provisions is long and very slow and to be honest is not in players or cryptics interest.
I think after each upgrade, K13 tier 1-3, items for sale should be immediately available to buy.
Surely items available to buy immediately, would attract real money going into the game there and then?
Ok maybe its wishful thinking, but I hope someone from cryptic reads this, and perhaps get cryptic to consider scrapping the provisions rule for fleet holdings. Moneywise it would be in cryptics interest.

Not talking about your request for immediate provisioning as such, but as a question:

Where exactly is the money in this for Cryptic? I do get a "???" on the step before "Profit" here.

New items to buy via buying zen using real money. then its dilithium, ec, and fleet credits etc. abit obvious.

Are there ship unlocks for the shipyard with the K-13 holding? I never checked. If so, then I suppose the sooner you could unlock them, the sooner you would need Modules, and spend zen.

But that is just a guess.

It's only a 20 hour 'time-gate', not exactly an eternity, and certainly quicker delivery than real-life!

Still this would only shift when money is spent, not how much money. Not a non issue, but different. (And the way you proposed does not affect the amount of fleet credits gathered or their speed, actually you would need less dil, ec, etc. for provisioning if you don't have to do that).

Not that I'd be aware. But I am not really invested in this. We'll do our holding and then see what it holds. We'd do it anyway even if it wouldn't contribute anything ;)

The presence of a shipyard NPC does make one wonder though...

Moneywise, Cryptic's "best interest" is fulfilled with the 30 minute completion 200k Dilithium "basic blank provisioning" mission(s).

Mainly because 95% of the playerbase that's exercising this option did so after a trip to the Dilithium Exchange. Which means zen was involved, which means money changed hands to Cryptic (at one point or another)...

On the other hand, if the 20 hour provision mission was actually set and filled, then you're on the last leg of a long timegate, let it ride and you'll have your shiny soon enough... :)
Detecting big-time "anti-old-school" bias here. NX? Lobi. TOS/TMP Connie? Super-promotion-box. (aka the two hardest ways to get ships) Excelsior & all 3 TNG "big hero" ships? C-Store. Please Equalize...

Well, there's shipyards NPCs in other places without them offering new ships or similar, just for general buying. A new vendor won't make people buy more, only more stuff to buy would.

I'd really like a cite on this one. Even if it is obviously meant as an exaggeration for "a large part of the playerbase", I'd doubt even that. My theory (but I can't give a cite either) is that the majority of players will maybe grind a bit and apart from that mostly see how far their dil gets them, without purchase of substantial amounts. Not least because other would mean the sellers hardly use any dil themselves, only grind to sell...

I get where the OP is coming from but I think they're not seeing things from the other end of the spectrum. Large fleets or even small ones with whale-ish players have K-13 at tier one already, it's only a 3 tier holding and once that's closed we'll be returning to the "Need new holding" and "I have nothing to spend my dil on" threads en masse.

The K-13 special projects that are being promoted will act like a money sink to some degree. You are still right about that cycle.

The need for places to earn FC is why I like Armadas.

K-13 has, like the other holdings, a basic provisioning for each track that costs dil only and a timer of 30 minutes. Convenient store prices for your convenience. I would hope that is fast enough.
