I think I have pushed this issue for more than half the time this game existed.
I will restate this in it's simplest form.
If a player BUYS a premium race, unique parts of that figure should be added to the
alien captain creator.
such as and not a complete list
albino skin
different head shapes - like talaxian or caitian and so on (forgive poor spelling)
claws
tails
specialty ears
hair color and styles
skin textures
skin patterns
etc.
give us MORE customization, not less.
as for the usual complaint that various ears, hair nose etc. will not fit..
just add a scale slider to the various facial parts...ears, nose, hair.
The player can adjust it to taste.
Make it so.

Just a suggestion, but next time you try to shame someone into doing what you want, into doing work for no recompense but your precious approval, don't be talking out your TRIBBLE.
That said, even though you are wrong I do agree that more customization is a good thing. If you buy a lifetime sub it would be nice if you could make your boffs look like liberated Borg. If you play as a space hobbit, Cryptic could let you create a matching crew of tricksy hobbitses. Buy the cat, get a litter of kittens.
That is a feature request, not what you paid for.
Nothing wrong with wanting a tail on your alien. Nothing wrong with asking for a quality of life improvement that extends the utility of existing assets. What's wrong with this thread is the half-baked emotional blackmail being attempted.
My character Tsin'xing
I swear,
same folks who complain that people who PAID for a premium race should not be
able to use the unique parts in the alien creator are the first folks crying
when the contest ship is not the best in series.
whaaa whaaa whaaa we want the BETTER one and we want it for FREE !
The free one sucks...
what ever
'Cause, really, after your first BS argument gets debunked, a scraggly straw man is obviously the next play no one will notice is transparent, inept, and flat-out WRONG.
Keep 'em coming. This is comedy gold.
A straw man is a common form of argument and is an informal fallacy based on giving the impression of refuting an opponent's argument, while actually refuting an argument that was not advanced by that opponent.[1]
I was not attacking a >false opinion or argument< you were holding on the subject.
The subject is purely a matter of taste and has no effect on game play so any opinion is a good as the next.
I was describing a certain group of players that attack every idea that is of no benefit to themselves.
They have no interest in flexible character customization, fine but they attack it purely because in their own mind it is a waste of time and developers should only be attending subjects that interest them.
If you don't like my opinion on the subject, fine.
But don't tell me I am wrong, I am entitled to my opinion.
So the: "Getting what you paid for" title DOES NOT match "should be added to the alien captain creator."
That is a request for a new, extra, bonus un-paid for feature.
I'd support the devs choosing to add that extra, bonus, new feature. It would be a nice extra bonus to add to getting what you paid for. More customization options is a good thing. Getting more than you paid for is even gooder!
