in Star Trek Online General Discussion
Keep getting booted out of the game, massive server lag etc...

Any issues?

    It's probably somewhere in between you and Cryptic. It always is for me when I have SNR issues. Check by running a traceroute.
    When you see "TRIBBLE" in my posts, it's because I manually typed "TRIBBLE" and censored myself.

    The STO website and forum is also v slow and laggy, looks like an outage somewhere along the line.

    Same probs here. It is a little frustrating but we all know the pitfalls that come with online gaming. I would like to point out something positive about perfect world. I had a problem recently where I kept getting total screen freeze. The guy from perfect world who responded stayed with the situation until it was sorted. It turned out to be my anti virus but it was him who put it right. This is a cool game. I have played numerous mmo's but this is the only one I have stuck with. Be patient Admiral's :)

    i have the same problem. all I got from the ticket was rubbish about restarting your computer. or reset your model. please somebody listen. I didn't have the problem yesterday till 7ish. im still getting it now. Im in England . plus I added new modem today. so it isn't a modem problem. Please replay to me personaly.

    Well, at least it's not just me. It's all of us in the UK/EU, or at least all of us on Virgin Media.

    51 + 1 Foundry Character Slots is NOT enough. Some of us love our characters. If I want to buy more character slots, why can't I? I couldn't experience the entire Delta Recruitment event without deleting a character.

    The Iconians themselves can't time travel because their memories revert, but there is nothing to say an Iconian couldn't write everything she needed to do on a PADD, pin it to herself, travel back, read the PADD, do the tasks and return. Or just get one of her Non-Herald underlings to go back in time for her.

    Oh yeah, I do Foundry missions for both KDFs and Feds. Just search KSTF (Short for Kinas Special Task Force, where Kinas is the name of the Admiral you will be serving under). The earlier ones are less story based and more combat based, while the later ones have a much heavier story element, but keep the large battles.

    Hey guys we are having the same problem in the US Constant disconnecting between maps. Doing the crystalline mission. Changing characters. Word on the net is that perfect world placed CO on the same servers as Startrek online. OK NOW we that understand computers know that 2 games running on the same servers at the same time will ALWAYS crash the server. Two many conflicting files AND not enough room for all the players. So add more servers or separate the games. BUT does perfect world really care what it's players NEED or WANT. Especially us that were beta testers and have been playing this game from the beginning. Perfect world should consider THAT not fixing these problems WILL cost them much more money not to fix then to fix. Paying customers will just stop playing.

    I think STO and CO have been together for ages. Also, as far as I know, CO is working fine in the US, as one of my US friends has been playing it and has reported no issues.

    Just because one of your friend stateside is having an issue, that does not mean that it isn't an issue at VM. The internet can break at more than one point at a time. SERIOUSLY people...use your brain as bit. VM basically at this point has said they are having issues...it is being worked on and will be fixed monday hopefully. If you go through VM and you can't connect or stay connected...guess what, it's probably the company who said they aree having issues and not someplace else. Your friend is having other issues obviously. He need to do some digging before we can even remotely help him.

    I think you should use your brain a bit more, its not because a company says they are having issues that it is the cause of the problem, everyone in STO was DNCing all over.

    That's not true as I have not had a lot of issues lately. I'm in game right now and there are at least a dozen armada friends from multiple countries. Zone chat is also active as is NoP Public Service Channel. The vast majority of players aren't having any issues. When EVERYBODY has issues, threads pop up with 10-20 pages within an hour or so that are filled with complaints. We aren't even remotely close to that point. Current issues seem to be localized.
