...or maybe the zen store. The Ferengi are considered part of the Federation, are they not? The z-store has Andorian, Caitian and Vulcan ships. So, yeah, The Ferengi ships should be in the z-store.
(I also knew about the shuttle, but I didn't count it because it's not a full-sized ship and it doesn't have the exchange/bank/mailbox.)
Ferengi aren't 100% members of the Federation, as the Ferengi Alliance still exists and Rom is still Grand Nagus. What they have is dual citizenship.
I'm sure you are 100% correct about that. However, if you want to play as a Ferengi, you have to play Federation. There are no KDF Ferengi, nor Romulan. So, as far as game mechanics go, Ferengi are Federation. Just as Andorians, Caitians and Vulcans are sub races of Federation, game play wise. Andorian, Vulcan and Caitian ships can be bought with zen. It just makes sense that you should be able to do the same for Ferengi ships.
Seriously?
Fleet/Rep projects, the Upgrade System, multi-million Dil Single Character Unlocks, the ability to convert Dil to Zen - we've got plenty of dilithium sinks, what we need is a higher refinement cap for those of us with hundreds of thousands of dil sitting unrefined because of the 8000 dil a day limit.
Though I have to say; it's kind of weird to say we need more Dil Sinks and then complain that sinking 400 dil into a single Zen is too high.

^Words that every player should keep in mind, especially whenever there's a problem with the game...
I would love to see this made available for free to every single player just for the reaction of the special whales in this thread.
Captain Jean-Luc Picard: "We think we've come so far. Torture of heretics, burning of witches, it's all ancient history. Then - before you can blink an eye - suddenly it threatens to start all over again."
"With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censured, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably."
Oh, and it wasn't based on some top% of spenders of anything like that or I wouldn't have gotten one. Pretty sure I hadn't even spent $100 on this game when I got mine. I did see the email and updated my mailing address.

Yeah, according to the lore of Path to 2409, Grand Nagus Rom propose an alliance with the Federation. That proposal was shot down.
Ferengi enlist in Starfleet as individuals and were inspired by Nog. The Klingons dislike the Ferengi, they have no honor for they are a cowardly race that ultimately desire profit by any means necessary which typically involves manipulating finances and business transactions. In a fight where they do not have an overwhelming advantage they usually run away. That is not the way of a warrior.
The Romulan Republic have their own problems to deal with such as putting aside their differences with the Remans to build a new homeworld so that both Remans and Romulan live and cooperate with each other. I do not recall the Romulans having any direct business with the Ferengi in TNG or DS9. The only missions in STO where there was a Ferengi involved were Mine Enemy and Warehouse (on New Romulus) where Madran were basically taking advantage of and cheating the Romulans.
Since I have not watched any of the Star Trek: TAS episodes, I have no background info on the Caitians. However, Andorians, Humans, Tellarites and Vulcans are the founding members of the Federation. Therefore, it makes more sense in STO for a Tellarite ship to be in the game... Unless there is one that I am not aware of, or they simply use the "standard" Starfleet design.
You want it, sure. You need it? No way you "Need" it. Anyway, if money isn't the issue, fork over a few thousand dollars worth of Zen, and you just might get it.
Yes, I need it. As for forking over the cash, I'd be happy to. However as I understand it, this ship was a short time stealth promotion ship that no one saw coming and no one knows the prerequisites for. As I am relatively new, I missed this promotion, so I didn't get the opportunity to show my unwavering support.
To PWE and Cryptic, allow me the opportunity to show you my unwavering support if that's the route it will take for me to get this ship. Otherwise, please add it to the Lobi store or as a Winter Event ship reward or as a Promo Pack reward. I just need it available, as a true Ferengi should have access to the Ferengi flagship. The gold skin is not necessary, and I am perfectly fine with the gold skin being only for those who were fortunate enough to win it in the promotion.
It was apparently for the people who have spent the most on STO.
Some people have made that assumption. In fact they never revealed how they picked who got it. For all we know, they could've just RNG'd it.
I deleted my characters and stopped playing for a year. I also ignore PWE emails. Had a T6 Nagus sitting in my C-store promotions tab when I re-installed the game to check out AoY a couple weeks ago.

TAS never talks about them. There is literally NO episode dealing with the backstory of Caitians. There were comics and books that delved into it a little, but even then not much.
And yeah, RNG seems most likely as the method of deciding who got it.
From what the two of us in our fleet that received this gift were able to work out, you needed to have spent $1000 in 12 months to receive the ship. I have heard of people 'saying' they got it for spending nothing but I have not seen any proof of that. In the end it was probably a once only gift to big spenders. I would imagine they will do something similar in the future, it may be the Nandi, it may be something even more desirable, perhaps a gold plated Borg Diamond lol, but whatever it is you'd best start flashing your latinum in Cryptic's direction if you want to be on the list.
Someone asked one of the devs in chat about it and he said "some people dont like to admit how much money they spend on games."
This is absolutely true. In my experience though, the very small number of Nagus owners that I've run across were happy to admit that they spent a metric ton of money. The least amount that any of them spent was $8,000. Don't count on it being added as a free event ship or a lobi ship.
When you see "TRIBBLE" in my posts, it's because I manually typed "TRIBBLE" and censored myself.
Don't count on it being added as a free event ship or a lobi ship.
I'm totally fine with purchasing it from the Dilithium store, or in a Promo Pack. I don't even mind if they change it's name to the Ferengi T6 Liquidator, to differentiate it so they can throw it in as a Winter Event ship or Lobi ship. As long as it uses the same sexy ship model (gold skin not necessary), and similar boff/weapon 5/3 layout I'd be exceptionally happy.
T6 Ferengi Liquidator. Nagus model, same weapon layout and hull/shield mod, Chrome skin (not necessary, but very welcome), slightly different boff layout.
I deleted my characters and stopped playing for a year. I also ignore PWE emails. Had a T6 Nagus sitting in my C-store promotions tab when I re-installed the game to check out AoY a couple weeks ago.
And had you updated your mailing address, you would have also received the package with the gear. The package in the promotions tab was done as a fix when the cards they sent in the boxes had bad codes...the work-around was to add it to the c-store for those that were selected to get the kit. Sucks to be you.

Incorrect. I've spent no where near $1000 on this game in the entire time I've played and certainly not in 12 months. I'm not sure how one shows proof of having not spent money, but I can say with certainty that my being here should be evidence enough given what my wife would do to me if I had spent that kinda money.
If more players would ask...they might listen, However, I would forget about the "Golden" paint. Who cares if its golden anyways as long as one gets a T6 Ferengui ship.

Exactly.
Ironically the giveaway came right after my peak spending in the game, which was well above the numbers being tossed around in previous posts.
It wasn't a promotion or a reward as most people understand those terms. I'm going with half witted RNG.
If you read all the forums about this, the common thread is the players that got this WEREN'T active at the time. This is the same as the Andromeda giveaway last year, they go through the list of players that HAVE spent SOMETHING.....but haven't logged on in (fill in the blank) months. Give them a new shiny to get them to come back and spend more money. Basic sales tactic, far more likely to get a PAST spending customer to spend more again then farm in new ones. So the big spenders.....didn't actually get ships, at least not on their primary accounts. I could be wrong, but I've read several of these forum posts and that seems to be the consistent trend. Now in regards to the OP, it SHOULD be available for Zen too. The Andromeda was given away free, then made available for purchase. The Defiant was given away and available for purchase. I would HOPE at some point soon it was available for Zen or SOMETHING?

That is actually not a bad idea at all. I would certainly buy this with dilithium, and I think the T6 Nagus would make for an excellent dil sink.

Looks are important to me. I want the evolved model/style of the T6 Nagus Marauder. Not the same old D'Kora model.
A most excellent idea for a non gold skin color!

Lets do business!

Original STO beta tester.
I'm happy with my non-Trump gilded Marauder. But gilding would have been nice as a skin.
Exactly.
