What is the Arc Client?
Install Arc

hey guys, little help here with camera?

i finished the update on the game and logged in again for first time.. the update broke the camera setup, it simply won't follow the ship in a "chase mode" like a "chase camera" or resets after looking around the ship. so i'm not sure how to fix it. i tried everything from "chase" to follow and back to "free" mode. is this issue new or common?

What you might be looking for is "Follow Target" (I think it's called). With no target selected it will follow your ship, when you look around, once you move back to near the rear of your ship it will auto-center on it, and when you do target something, it will move the camera to keep the target in view.

I use "Home" button on the keyboard to return the camera behind my ship while in sector space.
The options say that "home" is tied to "reset camera" on the default keybind page.
I am not sure how to get the camera to reset without hitting that button, though.

    Hope it helps.

X should cycle through the camera locks.

There was a bug that should have been fixed last maintenance which reset the camera to free camera at each map change etc. There also seems to be an intermittant issue where the camera gets confused whilst in combat and swings erratically, hitting x (or whichever key is bound) should cycle through to the correct setting.

If you are still having issues where the camera resets without a map change etc, try force verifying files from the launcher (make sure that on-demand patching is disabled to ensure you get the fix). If this doesn't work then submit a ticket to let support know the issue is still active and post in bugs section.
