This update has messed up my graphics, anyone else having this issue

Before this update i ran the game in max graphics, everything looked great. Now after this update they are messed up big time. Look at the link below to see what has happened.

If anyone knows how to fix this pls let me know, i have it set at max render and graphics detail settings in the pic below, yet the graphics are so poor that my old megadrive games are better rendered.

I could really use a fix as this is completly unplayable, i have tried running it in dx11 and dx9. Doesn't change anything.

Why did it have to reset my graphics settings after the patch, why couldn't it just leave things as they were. According to the reset my recomended graphics settings were something a 386 would laugh at. Even tho it ran fine at max before.

Found the problem, i'll leave this up for anyone that has this issue.

It turns out that the problem with the graphics was not caused by anything in the graphics tab. The issue was in the display tab, it was the resolution scale. For some reason the reset to recommended graphics set it to minimum, setting it to maximum fixed it.

Still do not understand why all low fraphics settings and a 0.4 resolution scale is recommended for an i7 16gb system with a nvida card that supports dx11 lol.

I'm pretty sure this is the, "we weren't sure exactly what you could run with so we set them all to low so you could log in and set it up yourself" mode. The alternative is " we set everything to max under Dx11 and your VC only displays a black screen, good luck fixing that!" mode.

My i7 32GB system with an nvidia card that supports dx 11 did the same thing when I reinstalled the game a few months back. It's not something new to the game, just showing up more because of the upgrade they did.

On the plus side...be glad you don't have an AMD card.

It did this with me, but I knew this would happen and it's better that the system does display sub-optimal. Many people have differing systems and settings.

I do have an AMD card, and the game looks great maxed out.

Will have to check that out once my game reinstalls.

It looked just like yours did in the image. Tribble is buttery smooth and lovely...

Strange, I logged in and everything was fine. For some reason the game probably recognized my hardware correctly.

I -prefer- that they do it this way!

Being on a 'lower-tier' PC, anyway, I'm going to be ignoring the lighting changes and staying in 'forced DX9' mode...if nothing else, this means I won't have many adjustments to make(most of my settings are already at 'low/off', anyway) when I get through this -giant- 8.5gb update...and being stuck with a 3mb connection is gonna make this go reeeeeealy slow....

    Thank you @conceptz82

You probably saved me 30 mins or so of tooling around in the "Graphics" tab.
PM me your in game name and I'll mail you some tech upgrades.

    @jodarkrider
Maybe you can sticky this somewhere. Very helpful.
