Dealing with all the broken things...

So, Cryptic has a nasty habit of allowing certain things in STO to break and not fix them for months or even years at a time. Sure, the game breaking bugs get fixed immediately (most of the time), but if it doesn't drastically affect gameplay it gets lowered in priority. Even...forgotten.

Are people genuinely okay with this? What are your limits in regards to quality? Honestly for me, after almost 7 years, I've had all that I can put up with. Every time I log in to STO everything just feels very off. Broken. Unreliable. Things that made the game enjoyable just don't work as they should anymore. Hell, it's just little things. Trivial things. But there's a lot of them in STO that have been broken and neglected for too long. All the little things, piled up over time, put aside with lower priority. It's all starting to stick out like a sore thumb.

Which longstanding issues started bothering you, even though you think they shouldn't be? I hate that my ships that used to have moving parts are no longer animated. It's a small thing, but it's the little details like that which made the game a bit more enjoyable for me.

    I accept that it's a small, niche MMO that doesn't have WoW dollars for development. Though I bet if you go to the WoW forums you'll find plenty of complaints about bugs there too :)

    From what I've observed on Tribble, and what I believe is the main reason Console versions are missing several key components is that they are working on each system and resolving as many as possible now. We have seen alot of minor bug fixes recently. This is evident enough their are working on them.

    My main gripe at the moment is the background sound and music drop out that Holodeck is currently experiencing. This seems resolved on Tribble, so I hope it's brought to Holodeck on Tuesday. However, the ship animation, wrong warp-out trail and Transwarp animations are still on Tribble.

    I, thankfully, have the patience of a Saint, so I don't sweat the small stuff.

    It's only minor I know but when changing a boff skill, it doesn't change in the station until you empty and re-assign the officer to that station, thats irked me mildly for a while.
    The other thing I am finding bothersome of late is the trade freighter, I am unable to access my account bank from it for some reason. I've forgotten about it and wasted my comm call a few times.
    Not game breaking for me by any means, I am really enjoying the game after a few month hiatus (my old oc went pop), but those things do irk me a tad.

    Yeah I figured that one out, (on the xbox version amusingly)which is cool, no big moan from me. Thanks though :) I just wish it would change it automatically once I'd changed it in the boff skills screen. It just seems logical that it would but only mildly annoying as its just more clicks.
    The freighter on the otherhand is something I have to actively take the time I was trying to save in using it to access my acc bank.

    I'd settle for some broken things as I can't even log in right now.
