I recently had to have a piece of tendon removed from my fore-arm and placed as the Flexer Tendon on my right hand. I am currently unable to use my mouse, and wont be using it for months.
Anyone have any other type of pointing devices that they can recommend?

Realistically I recommend a trackball with a larger than normal ball, you can use those with your wrist rather than hand or fingers. The hard part becomes using the mouse buttons. There is one called the "bigtrak " by info grip, costs $85, that has optional foot pads for the buttons.
The razor nostromo has a left hand joystick for the thumb that can be configured to be a mouse control, but precision sucked when I tried it.
Depending on your setup there are a few eye and head motion devices or even breath controlled mice too, but those run anywhere from several hundred to several thousand dollars.
I think the trackball is probably the better solution given the issue is temporary.
