Greetings, Admirals!
Welcome to Episodes 21-25 of Let's Play Star Trek Online - Winters Fed Walkthrough.
This series is a complete walkthrough of every aspect of the game - Story Missions, Reputations, DOFFing, Admiralty, BOFFS, Research and Development, Fleets, Crafting and End-Game Content etc. Every player, new and veteran, will find them a valuable source of information, tips and tricks. You may even learn something new! This could be anything from an accolade to a system that you didn’t fully understand or helpful hints on earning in game currencies like Energy Credits or Dilithium.
There will be a brand new episode released every Monday through Friday.
In Todays Episodes:
In this episode we play the story mission "City on the Edge of Never". This mission has a nice mixture of both space and ground combat. We also earn an accolade or two from normal game play.
In this episode we play the story mission "Past Imperfect". Just like our last mission this one has a nice mixture of space and ground combat. It's a little longer than most mission played up to this point but it's not very difficult.
In this episode we go back to Earth Space Dock (ESD) to get our promotion to Commander and pick up a new starship. This time we go with the Heavy Escort starship which is obviously a Tactical focused ship. Once we finish kitting out our new starship we stop by the bank and make a quick stop off at the 50% vendor to clear out our inventory of any junk that we have picked up along the way. When we are finished there we make out way over to the Bridge Officer (Boff) trainer to update our Boffs space abilities. This is a nice general introduction into training your Boffs with new skills and this method applies to both space and ground Boff abilities. After we are finished with Boffs we then spend all the skill points that we have earned up to this point into our skill tree. This time around we talk a lot more about skill points and where they should be spent in the skill tree. Finally when we are done with the skill tree we move on to traits and talk very briefly about them while selecting different traits.
In this episode we do some Dilithium Mining which should be included into our daily tasks when we log into the game. On our way to the Mining Asteroid we are shown a nice little trick which can be used to speed up travel time in the Alpha Quadrant.
In this episode we play the story mission "Temporal Ambassador". This mission takes us a little longer than most that have been played up to this point but that is because we stop a listen to most V.O. in the mission. By skipping the V.O. this mission can be completed much faster. This mission also contains a number of accolades so that is something to take note of all the accolade hunters out there.
